sign0006.gif  Anyone here collect Robot Spirit (Damashii) series?

Don't have much time to build Gundam kits nowadays... then came across this figure line-up. But I hear it's non-scale... so meaning Nu Gundam will be same size as Wing Gundam.. Which kinda sucks... Hope they release scaled Gundam Figure..

GFF is scaled figure
but that line is discontinued

When I think of "High Detail Appearance" and "Sophisticated Parts Composition", a NG is not what comes to mind. If anything, it sounds more like Nu/Sazabi ver. ka type kits.

But i wondering was it really warrant to have a category of it own tho if that the case ? hmm.gif

maybe its time and they wanna push out more Nu/Sazabi ver ka style and complexity kits tongue.gif
i'm hoping this is true.. those are really quality kits and i don't mind having an entire line just for them tongue.gif

err.. Maybe it's customisation focused kits since Bandai seem pushing Gunpla Builder series pretty hard.... *wild guess* laugh.gif

yea... but GFF series is fragile as glass.. tried bought one and never again.. guess MGs are still going to be my collection.. Or maybe the 1/100 announcement is a new 1/100 scaled figure line-up tongue.gif

Current MG is 1/100 RG. With the recent ver ka and 3.0 kits, the only true difference between RG and MG at this point is pre-assembled innerframe, and that is vastly inferior to a true proper innerframe. Upscalling a RG is pretty much a step backward rather then forward at this point.

If this new line is just to separate between the ver ka and 3.0 styling to normal releases then its pretty much a pointless gimmick as I dont c the needs to do so.

I'll bet a Bright Slap that it ain't Zaku 3.0
because they mentioned new category, while a Zaku 3.0 would be still under MG
unless they make the 3.0s a new category, which is very redundant

I've been thinking that too, but it's (3.0 Zaku II) the best guess out there. Maybe it's just Bandai trying to hype crowds and it is still the MG line but with greater detail like the 3.0. Anyway not long til the show...

New line or not, but the chances of Zaku 3.0 coming out is high likely. I just hope they can do something about the hands (it will most likely be using Sazabi Ka's hands for sure biggrin.gif).

that was for lack of a better term, much like how HG was THE 1/144, now we have RGs that are 1/144
so i was referring to something like a transition from HG -> RG.. MG -> whatever they may call the new line

In the case on Zaku 3.0, Sazabi hand will be use no doubt but it should hold up better then on Sazabi. Zaku doesnt have any big heavy weapons, the joint flaws on those hands should be minimize.

Ahh i got u.

At that time there is a big difference between HG and MG, fans were clamoring for MG style HG together with innerframe, details, and such at the scale of 1/144. We can see it could be done with some compromise and Bandai eventually gone and did it by using some tech from the line above and scale it down while compromising features like innerframe to create the RG line which pleases fans all around. This time though I dont see such aspect in the MG line, there is nothing on the other line that MG doesnt have.

The description of it so far seems to indicate an upscale RG or 3.0/ver ka styling or something around that ballpark, if this is the case then its pretty disappointing to me since its nothing new other then a label on the corner of the box. I could be wrong, I hope im wrong.

I can see the addition of gimmicks and the sort.. which would honestly be disappointing.. maybe they'll have better color separation for inner frames, more mechanical and moving parts, better looking mobile suits all round? I would absolutely love to see the mobile suit having more realistic mechanisms and moving parts.. maybe that might be the detailing
More parts is always better.. i would even fork out the money for the higher price that follows as long as they look damned good
But until this weekend, we'll just be speculating.. i just hope its not overhyped by bandai again

Haha maybe upscaled HG with RG details on outer armor. Hopefully they wil have MSes that are not viable as MG

still waiting for reviews showing the leftover parts, whether there's enough parts to make all limbs

From the manual scans at HobbySearch http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10267276 , doesn't seems so. But the runners count seems to be more
