To wk, idk if I'm quoting correctly. But I honestly don't think there's a very good measuring system for taxing us. A lot of people get through cz they look mean, they simply like to aim for innocent looking kids.

Formally, I think customs can charge if the items total up to RM500 or above. My MG Sazabi and other goodies were caught up at customs and got charged 10%. This is at POS so maybe different story

I actually had both situations.

When coming back from Canada, I had to move all my collectibles in a big box. Obviously they came to me and scanned it, taxed me. However the authorities involved weren't very sure of protocols and simply demanded I pay something as tax. I didn't know the worth of all the collectibles but I low balled the figures and paid it.

It's totally understandable that they would charge us tax for these collectibles, but they don't seem to follow regulations and look more to target young gullible travelers. Many friends I have often don't get targeted because they look more stubborn than me, or I have a very gullible face...

Hi Maileew,

1) can't answer

2) Thinner is mostly used to "dilute" paint so that it flows smoothly through an airbrush. I think what you heard about using it for cleaning is a reverse wash technique. More info found: http://majorwilliams.blogspot.com/2011/04/...e-wash-and.html

In your case, using some cotton swabs will do the trick. You should also panel line on the plastic or after a gloss coat. If you panel line after a flat coat, the rough surface will easily stain and the ink will be harder to clean.

3) I've found Mr Hobby Top Coat around my local hobby shops, in Sabah.

Yah agree with jctasoga. If you get chance to go Japan, take chance to enjoy Japan. For me if I have to worry about damaging kits and packing huge boxes, then dragging them around, it won't be worth the money saved...

Of course can buy LE kits there easier, but still in Msia fairly easy to get P-Bandai stuff so I say support local business and just buy kits here/do group orders.

Yeah, I commented on how Msia Customs will target young, easy targets at airport. Sure we brought some toys in, but they don't tax according to clear regulations, seems like want makan duit. I think the actual regulation is that you will be charged if items exceed RM500, but in any case the officers seem to just tax randomly (or at easy targets).

GFT stuff is definitely my next aim there, I went just before the Japanese Earthquake and at the time, I don't think GFT offered a lot of things, and I also ignored the Gundam Cafe. I wasn't big fan back then, stupid me..

There's something that's been bothering me; I got into kit bashing and painting, but the prep, especially for painting takes so long and I don't enjoy it. Meanwhile I always get "itchy fingers" and want to snap things together. What do you guys do in this case?

Be snap fitter is fine, but when I look at an unpainted kit I will always think: What would it be like if I painted... except Bearguy III, that kit is too perfect.

I think he might mean waist peg snapped off. In which:

1. Never had the problem

2. Superglue/cement

editted. If gold, the stickers is ok. Follow manual is good already. The decals don't put also looks good.

OOB means Out of Box build, no paint, no modifications. Maybe panel lines + top coat

Personally like the Ver. Ka for decals, but most of all, the weight.

Haha same for me in the case of Destiny, but also Metal Gear Rex from 3A... I so want that bad boy but 2.2k RM........ Maybe just save for next MB.

BTW guys, any recommended shops to buy Alclad II paints? I live in Kota Kinabalu and I know Cktan hobby shop, but they don't always have the paint I want. Any online sellers or shop in KL I can go to? Want mirror chrome for a gundam so bad...

Damn RM100 can redeem 1 kit? Must be limited to HGs...

Also, "3D life size Bearguy" = HG Bearguy?

RG Gouf was never announced. Due to the RG Zgok being part of a line of RG OYW suits as "under inspection", RG Zgok being confirmed leads to us believing Bandai will continue down the RG OYW line, including the RG Gouf. Other suits I recall in that line are the RG GM and RG Ground Gundam.

I just want a new Dom super bad, HG,MG or RG, but prefer MG no doubt. Perhaps there will be a Thunderbolt Dom? (Haven't read the manga so I don't know if the Dom is even in TB).

If you look at it objectively, OYW suits will sell quite well, especially grunt suits. Gouf would share a very similar frame with the Zaku, so Gouf would be easy money for Bandai. Only question is time....

In other RG news, I heard RG Virtue was confirmed through polls? Not sure about this, but if it can purge armor and turn to Nadleeh I would be very excited. As for RG Zgok, I just want to see how exactly can they improve it in the RG line, much better articulation and?
