Y50 & Y40 with new designs and layout, slimmer, lighter, powerful with dual fans cooling.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Y50 reviews and benchmarks» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « http://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-IdeaPa...w.120215.0.htmlhttp://forum.notebookreview.com/ideapad-es...tel-7260-a.htmlReview and benchmark of Y50 from storm88 https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3278136QUOTE(storm88 @ Jul 3 2014, 07:07 PM) The Most crucial part of the whole review. The TEMPERATURE of the laptop. At TECH ARMORY, we had sold more than 1k units of Gaming laptop thru out the years. But NONE can provide such good cooling capabilities for gaming laptop below RM4000. Both chips produce 73'C for GPU and 79'C for CPU when burning with FURMARK. Meanwhile while idle, CPU core max at 50'C and GPU at 40'C (All test took place at ambient of 29'C) QUOTE(storm88 @ Jul 3 2014, 07:07 PM) Pros: a. Very attractive price for the said performance b. Backlid keyboard c. Very good cooling capability d. Slim body and low in weight (2.5KG incl external DVD Drive) e. JBL Audio and Douby Digital Plus support Cons: a. Very little upgrade option b. the color c/d abit low for the screen c. brightness abit low Identification for official local set Y50-70:Beware of grey imported US set(AP set) with 1 yr warranty BUT without local warranty support. | Sticker on box | Look for "MY" sign ie. Y50-70xxxxxxxxxxMY | | Sticker on box | local set part No. as in post #1, ie Y50/DOS(59-422941), Y50/W8.1(59-418017), etc. | | Sticker on box | spec same as local set as in post#1. | | Power cord | UK cord (3 pin) and not US cord (2 pin). | | Laptop | sirim sticker at bottom of laptop. | | Warranty | local set all come with 2 yrs warranty support & not 1 yr US set(AP set). | This post has been edited by ytlay: Sep 22 2015, 02:20 AM

QUOTE(bingding @ Jan 25 2014, 10:09 PM) how much y50 is likely predicted to be? will it be the same like y510p which is 3399 or higher? Lenovo Y series is targeting at the student so it should be affordable. It will come with different variants and specs for different price range. Did anyone else bought any notebook from devour at this thread? I have bought a Y410p since last year June together with the warranty upgrade. Until now haven't receive any news, already inboxed him over the issue multiple times, everytime tell me Lenovo haven't process and other reasons. Just checked on Lenovo's site, still showing 2 years warranty. Saw a dispute thread on him as well.

Usually, warranty upgrade can be done within certain days from purchase. I am not sure for Lenovo, but Illegear is within 90 days.

Better call them directly, faster. I dont think warranty upgrade should take that long period (7 months for your case). Right now you talk to Lenovo first, make sure prepare enough info to them to trace your laptop purchase, if Lenovo reply you "warranty upgrade in progress", you can complaint Lenovo. If Lenovo say your laptop "receive no warranty upgrade since purchase", then you can raise a dispute against devour.
