Need help on how to change vios 03 rear speaker!
I just bought a sony 6.5" speaker, any idea how to change it myself?
Just pull out the speaker cover? Pls any sifu out there!

Actually i saw several complains in toyota facebook fanpage too. but i dont see much inside lowyat. so im really wondering, am i the unlucky minority?
My daily traffic is probably around 5-10% jam only... i don work far from home, 15min drive can reach... while weekend i always go out at 2-3pm which is traffic smooth moving period.

when you drive your car, how do you feel with the engine?
my personal experience is that, it is not so strong enough.
averagely it need 2rpm to go next gear most of the time... even for 1st gear go to 2nd gear, sometimes it need close to 2.5rpm only switch to 2nd gear. and that is normal driving... (eco light on)
in the situation that u just came out from your taman and u need to shift your car from 1 lane to another. the lane you need to enter has carss that moving. u need to slip in quickly due to the traffic. in that situation, i can hear the vroom sound seems draggy, and it reached 3rpm just for the gear 1 to enter gear2 in that situation... which i felt so hurt for the fuel and engine... (eco light off) and even with that, i don feel the car accelerate fast enough at all also...
isit common?

btw... what is the apps name you using here? can intro me?


I did some research and some said it will slowly become better as what u said too....
but somehow i still feel quite worry and emo when thinking of it. it made me felt i did the wrong choice to sell my SEG for this.

i would suggest you to send it to local accessorries shop. the labour cost around RM20-30 only.

The car is light in the sense of response, but it howls like a bull upon heavy foot. Its normal since the car have pathetic sound insulation.

Currently your on 3rd tank only; why worry so much. Worst case scenario is get the ECU reset so that the car learn you driving behaviour again.

Btw, I'm also facing issue with this Vios:
1. Knocking sound from behind the steering wheel upon uneven road or speed bump crossing. Its really terrible
2. Annoying"Freeplay" mechanism on the brake pedal --> "tak" sound upon pedal release
3. Latest is some loose part on my rear driver side door panel... Suspect some clips or screw is inside the door panel... Even the window glass is rattling upon uneven road... really speechless.

For case 1 and 2 above, its a common issue for this latest Toyota. For you, do take not on this. Toyota SC had acknowledged this issue... Still pending solution from them...

Currently my Vios is making all the unnecessary noises (particularly at the dashboard area) while driving on the uneven road surface. I have already went several times to Toyota Service Centre but the ended up in disappointing. Kindly could anyone here advice me any shops that able to tighten all the parts at the dashboard area.

bro, i'm not a vios user and i don't like this car... but i've to share to something with you...

try not to switch your gear to N when you go down from slope... you will not know what is happening next and in case there is something emergency happened, that's seriously a dangerous act.. you want to risk your life by saving few cents petrol?

try let your engine run in first and feedback us about the FC? cheers

bros...just got a 3rd gen vios J,

the engine rev and rattle quite loudly every few seconds when i put the gear at 'n' & 'p'

the rattling and sound got less if aircon is turned off

is this normal ?

all the way using petronas rom 95 or shell?

If I'm you, I'll get Alza Advanced.

The driving dynamics and build quality is not much different. As for accessories, J is pathetic. What for you pay more to get less.

Do avoid Vios unless you like the new Bold styling design.

If I could reverse time, I'll definitely skip Vios.

For brand wise, of course will be Toyota is better, but for quality wise you may consider Alza with advance spec and lower price

Are you saying the new vios of you is no better than alza? That bad huh? What about proton? Would you say you will ditch vios for Preve?

In terms of cabin comfort, the Vios J is really bad. even when compared to Alza. Of course, this is an honest and personal opinion. I myself is driving one Vios J. My advise is do take a look at the car(Vios); take it out for a spin and make your decision later before getting one.

I've test drive SuprimaS before(Preve Hatch); ride quality is good but we all know the stories.

In the end of the day, everyone have their own expectation from a car, based on the given priceTag.
