hi all. thinking of changing rims to 16". so i want to take 195/55 tyre but the kedai said cannot one. better take 195/50, will be more clearance. true ke?

Definitely correct! But if possible go for 205/50/16..
Wider tyre give u better handling n grip..
Higher fuel consumption as tyre getting wider??
I can tell u,there wont be much different between 195/205 smile.gif

agree with you.

last time my Focus was on 215/45/17... changed rim to 205/50/16.... the 16' size makan more oil due to the heavy stock rim that was designed for a TDCi engine. The previous stock 17' rims that was on a 1.8L NA engine feels much lighter.

Conclusion is, the rims weight would be the culprit when it comes to myth of "change bigger/wider rims+tyres would caused higher FC".

go for 205/45 (I remember clearly that 205/50 is quite rare and higher in price) or you can compare the price before you decide..
my previous rim on my Vios is 205/45/R16 16"x7.5j

Stabilizer and lower arm bar is 2 different compartment.

hope it solves the problem.

In my last complaint, they advised not to touch anything until further notice from HQ.

Mostly the screehing sound is the engine belt slipping or the rubber problem...mostly people just put lubricant...but u can go to nearby mechanic shop to ask them check for you

Greeting,

Any vios owner here encounter problem which you cant pull out your car key while you lock ? Even with your gear put to Parking mode ?

I have done some google and seem like problem with the spring in the gear system, which they cant detect that you have put into parking mode so it wont allow you to pull out your key.

My question is, for those who faced the problem before. Where to you fix it ? Any recommend workshop ?

Thanks in advance.

If it's the timing belt do not put lubricant. Use wax instead.

Happened to my friend's Vios once in Cameron Highlands. It had been parked overnight outside the hotel and after a short drive in the morning, the key could not be pulled out when he wanted to park the car. He went to a workshop there and the mechanic sprayed some WD40 into the keyhole and voila, the key could then be taken out after some gentle wriggling. That was the one and only time it had happened. My friend believes whatever the root cause of the problem might be, it would never happen at normal temperature in the city.
