Climb a bit thread please, or just google it up.

Look, whenever it is public holiday in M'sia, you see shopping mall flooded with people right? In Japan in even worse, your whatever JR Pass won't save you shit lol, you have to stand aside.

And oh... Majority of the accommodation will have x% price increased aka peak season.

Really? That day I saw mid of April for Kanto region.

And, not only queue... Normally for example Shinkansen, you will be seating.. But for Golden Week, people just push in like sardine just like our LRT. May be unpleasant for us since we are traveling, and it is expensive.

I am planning to visit Japan end of this year when I get back to Malaysia for my semester break. I am really keen to visit either Tokyo or Kyoto, or perhaps both. I googled and found out the distance is around 360 km, is that true? How many hours will it take if I wish to travel by train from Tokyo to Kyoto?

Another thing is that, maybe I am going to travel by myself if my friends can't make it. My main concern is the language, do they understand basic English? Anyone had any problem before with the language?

The distance is more than 360km. Bullet train takes about 4 hours at a speed of 300km/h

If you using JR Rail Pass mean no ''Nozomi'' for you.
If You are sitting on ''Hikari''. It stop more Station.
If You are sitting on ''Kodama''. It stop even more Station.

From Tokyo to Shin-Osaka by ''Nozomi'' are 2 Hour 30 Minute
From Tokyo to Shin-Osaka by ''Hikarii'' are 3 Hour 10 Minute
From Tokyo to Shin-Osaka by ''Kodama'' are 4 Hour
