This is not because Protons are good, but because it makes financial sense.

i think it kinda depends on how you define choice; Because if i get to choose, without any regards of criteria, i'd kinda want a GTR, or something more "realistic"/reachable, a shiberu.

but of course neither cars make financial sense at all to me.
and when you throw in a buncha criterias, your choices further narrows down to well, nothing.

If you are looking at a GTR or a shiberu, Proton won't even cross your mind.

When we are talking about choices of car where Proton is in the list, it should give you an idea what kind of car or price range we are interested in.

Otherwise, the sky's the limit, eg. If given a choice, I'd like to fly a space shuttle instead of driving a Proton.

Agreed.

However understandably, if you're completely objective/neutral/unbiased and compare proton against anything within it's own class/segment, proton will ALWAYS win hands down.

the spec difference in contrast with the pricing will always be in Proton's favor for obvious reasons that's of another discussion matter.

in the end it always come down to the badge, and/or the lack of choice. (eg: if money wasn't an issue, i'd get the mitsubishi badge instead of a proton. if money wasn't an issue, i'd pay the 20-40k difference for that trial-and-tested time-proven 1NZ-FE and innovative push start button. whistling.gif )

Hi everyone! I have a question regarding car battery in my Proton Saga FLX.
I am going back to my hometown soon for about at least three weeks, and leaving my car in KL. May I know do I need to do any precaution steps to prevent my car battery from going dead?
*
how old is ur battery age? if still new, no need do anything. 3 weeks still can start car with ease.

If you're being pragmatic, dun care apa-apa cerita kroni ke handouts ke, Proton is still cheap to buy and cheap to run....as a bonus they are also safe (The Preve and Suprima la).

Having owned an affordable ford, driven several Perodua cars extensively as well as a Toyota Vios P42, I have no problem buying another Proton.

This is not because Protons are good, but because it makes financial sense.

Waiting Suprima equipped with Manual transmission..

Will think again cuz i luv veeyos TRD...

thumbup.gif Yup.

Proton can be a good car, just the quality is just not there. If only they take QC seriously for Malaysia's Market. Then proton is worth buying for those who wants to at least have a car to drive since is affordable even though the price is actually high for a local car.

That's why I only mentioned, if people have a choice, they won't go for proton.
If Financial is great, and if people could afford a Jaguar, Audi, BMW, Range Rover and etcs, they won't get a proton. whistling.gif

The only fact that, there are lots of proton and perodua on the road is because is the cheapest brand to own.
Thanks to the sky high tax on imported cars like Honda, Toyota and etcs.

Remove the tax on imported cars and compete fairly. I think Proton would already be long gone. P2 might survive since is still a Daihatsu/Toyota and their cars quality is better.

No matter what, the only proton that I love so far. Is the Proton Satria Neo R3. wub.gif
