That's true la to increase grip but like TR said, cuz if using soft sidewall tyres, to reduce tyre flex when cornering so increase pressure a bit. If weather very hot, then it will already increase more though.

hi guys,

congrats on v57  notworthy.gif

one quick question here, i sent my gf's sv for 10k service last weeknd, and the sc billed us total of RM227.

user posted image

Seem like they overcharge us as i check with the service schedule, spark plug only required to be change every 20k. windscreen washer and petrol treatment already >rm30.

Any comments?  hmm.gif

Kena chopped liao

You only need the 3 items as iskazulka pointed out below:

QUOTE(iskazulka @ Jan 6 2014, 11:47 AM)
10k = minor service.
only this required :
engine oil
drain plug
oil filter

sparkplug change every 20K, although some pepel 60K never change also
*
spark plug change 80k km or 13 years whichever comes first whistling.gif

nevermind lah, lesson learnt  blush.gif if we directly follow the schedule in the service booklet issit okay?  sweat.gif

*
To keep your warranty, just follow the service booklet unless they can produce an official service bulletin from Proton that states a new schedule.

Although if your Saga is a CVT, some here will recommend you change CVT fluid every 40k km instead of 60k km as recommended in the booklet.

last time in the forum, there is senior that explained to us what is lateral g is all about, and is not the correct way to determine a car handling, but somehow anyhow, the thread went missing... blush.gif  blush.gif

normally to test a car handling, skid pad is needed...
*
I am also curious, I thought the higher the G figure = more grip or/and less roll hmm.gif

QUOTE(Mahihi @ Jan 6 2014, 12:32 PM)
dats stop me from buying the so called worked bar and even sell for them.....

lets see wat i found here,

The lateral G's indicate the lateral acceleration at which the tyres will break traction in steady state cornering. For example, a car weighing 800 kg, with a max Lat.G of 0.89, the max lat force possible from the car will be 6984.7N. From this it can be found that the max velocity for a 30 m radius corner is 16.2 m/s, wroughly 36 mph. If however the car had a lat.G of 1.3, on the same corner, the car would be capable of a maximum of 19.6 m/s or 44 mph. Therefore, higher lat. G's equals faster cornering, the holy grail of quick lap times.
Sorry if this seems lake a bit of a lecture, but i figured i may as well put my degree in automotive engineering into use!!
*
So in fact after installing the chassis strengthening specialist bar your tire traction become worse laugh.gif laugh.gif

I see....I always tot less roll = higher G because if your car rolls less, the lateral weight shift is faster sweat.gif

QUOTE(TitanRev @ Jan 6 2014, 01:55 PM)
I will stick with my WORKS...... smile.gif because it's a race car...Muahahahahaha....the WORKS drop in makes my car sounds different....combined with all the cylinder head work I've done...

Actually why we don't feel much after even changing to drop in because if your intake can only flow this much at stock no matter how you do....the flow is still same so in order to have gain you need to make your intake manifold and TB able to flow more air...things like TB port polish, Cylinder head PnP and port matching all this improve flow then only you will gain from the mods....
*
What's funny is, I have use aftermarket high flow filters for my Waja and my current Popiah. When newly installed for both cars I could've sworn there is noticable improvement, but when switch back to stock then only realize stock filter also perform the same.

For the Popiah there is a slight difference I notice when using Works filter, which is the powerband has shifted slightly to the lower RPM. I suppose this is the only change, no performance gain but slight change to engine characteristics hmm.gif

Itu lap timer rosaked ady....

dares given the same car with same entry speed the before sure higher and the after lower due to less roll. Another way to test which is better

With before they try to slalom each time with increased speed until which speed it lost control and cannot take the slalom. Then do an after with the same method and see until which speed the car cannot take the slalom. Like this only compare the result which will be more comprehensive and clear...
*
Why need to waste tire like that. Just do a simple Lat-G comparison video with a chick that speaks better engrish than Amber Chia......Voila! sales skyrocket like god car Vios. whistling.gif

All FLX CVT shares the same service schedule.
