Unless those LHDN people say, it looks like a keyboad, but it is not a keyboard!

In your case, it is better to choose berasing.

What if the wife no working, also submit berasingan? I think it is better berasing if wife do not have income.
Please do not simply use no matter what happened as there might have exception case or special condition.

Is still the same, have to do separately.
Just play around with the online and you will know.
And this statement were from the IRB's officer when I got audited.

No point of arguing with us.

Get the correct definition of Surface first.

Tablet: cannot claim
Ultra book: can claim

*Remark: Not sure for those hybrid like Asus Transformer series.
*
You split it, you can't claim.
But if as a whole, you can claim.

If wife do not have income, what is the benefit to claim the RM9000 separately?
Please be clear on what benefit the wife can get if do separately?

I can say that have to submit together if wife do not have income as husband can claim RM3000 (F13) on wife which do not have income.

I worked in a small company taking care of everything, so I can cut more PCB from my salary than required for myself. For all previous years, after submitting my returns in April, I will normally get the reimbursements in May or June. It's like getting a small bonus in the middle of the year although essentially it's my own money.

This year I submitted early April and hoping for the same. Unfortunately just received a letter from LHDN informing that they will KIV my reimbursements for 3 months with the possibility of conducting an audit.

My records are pretty beautiful, with increasing tax every year while my relief are fairly consistent without any spikes. I claim truthfully without any abuse.

It just make me wonder that the government has no money that they have to find ways to delay reimbursements.

They could have reimbursed me, and if they can find any fault with my returns, by all means they can fine me.

U mentioned no matter what still better to do berasingan.

Now, u try to accept to do berasing if divorce?

Please see properly that RM3000 is for categorires below
A. Husbad do not have income.
B. Wife do not have income.
C. For divorce case

Perenggan 47(1)(a)

Last year I received this notification too. But they never audited me. I received my refund in less than 2 months.
This year, I received the refund in less than 3 weeks.

Ronnie, you manage to pay using PBB Visa Signature right?

Can you do a mockup payment for AMEX?

I tried entering all my info to pay using AMEX, it directed me to this warning after entering all my card info and CVV code

PS : I tried payment by RM0.10 just to test it whether work or not. I most likely will try again on weekend but as this is the last weekend before end of May I need the points and rebate before points inflation.

And LHDN phone line doesn't work on weekend. So I need to make sure AMEX can be used before this weekend which will be too late

My son's doing his CAT course at Sunway College. Is the CAT course a diploma level? There's a difference of RM5,000 in relief between:-

a) "Each unmarried child of 18 years and above who is receiving full-time education ("A-Level", certificate, matriculation or preparatory courses). = RM1,000"

b) "Each unmarried child of 18 years and above that:

(i) receiving further education in Malaysia in respect of an award of diploma or higher (excluding matriculation/preparatory courses).

(ii) receiving further education outside Malaysia in respect of an award of degree or its equivalent (including Master or Doctorate).

(iii) the instruction and educational establishment shall be approved by the relevant government authority. = RM6,000"

source = items 18 & 19 at http://www.hasil.gov.my/goindex.php?kump=5...3&unit=1&sequ=1

Pls advise. TQ

It's a certification course:

The Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) is a vocational qualification designed by ACCA that will allow you to support the work of professional accountants. The final-level examinations are equivalent in standard to the first year of a university degree programme. Consequently, CAT graduates are allowed to move directly to Fundamentals Level (Skills module)
