Hello all, I've just received a letter from LHDN to pay up for income tax for a year (2008) which I forgot to pay. Does anyone know how I can make the payment? I checked on LHDN website but I don't know which option to select for payment. Can anyone please advise? TQ in advance.

No instruction came with the letter?

Or payment or bill slip?

Unfortunately it did not. Just some instructions to ask me to go to LHDN website to pay via FPX or either go to the branch. Monday is the due date, as I'm always on the road I only received the letter yesterday.

I tried to pay via FPX but there are many options and I'm unsure which to select and there isn't a No. Bill Ansuran stated anywhere in the letter ... sigh

My guess:

Kod Bayaran: 095 Bayaran Cukai Pendapatan (tidak termasuk skim ansuran)
No. Bill Ansuran: 99

Why I made this guess:

For payment due to insufficient PCB deduction, it uses:

Kod Bayaran: 084 Bayaran Ansuran Cukai Individu
No. Bill Ansuran: 99

Some tax agents may claim to be taxable of the total 100k sales of the company, which includes the expenditure. One need to be aware about this. It is always safer to know the income tax slabs in advance. One may refer here for India Income Tax Slab

Hi Experts,

I wasn't sure where to post this, but since its income tax related, I've decided to try my luck.

This month, I was given RM810 as a KPI bonus from my company. But when I saw the payslip, I was also charged with a RM523 employee tax at that month.

Normally the employee tax I have to pay monthly is around RM60-100

When I confronted the PR, it was because the 'PCB' that month has hit the next tax category. I was given the attached E-PCB calculations as proof. (see attachment)

Is this legal and is there any way to prevent it?

There's another calculation that your HR didn't disclose when there's bonus payment involved in the monthly paycheck for PCB deduction.

Ask your company to "gift" the bonus as a gift worth RM810 ?

Wow. This thread has a lot more information than one could bargained for. I saw there were some comments about the Microsoft Surface Pro 3.

Has there been any reply (or I could have missed it out) about whether it qualifies as a PC? I understand that the Surface falls under a rather "grey" category.

But good to know that Windows RT is definitely out of the picture.

Hi guys! It has been enlightening reading this thread.

I hold a full time job and at the same time have registered as a sole proprietor. I have been asked by LHDN to supply my detailed accounting for Year 2012.

As I only do sporadic business each year amounting to no more than RM2000/pa, I'm trying to figure out how to/what submit the documents to them.

The first 4 boxes are ticked meaning I need to supply that information to them:
1. Akaun beraudit bagi tempoh perakaunan terkini

- does this mean my latest accounts? I do not have any accounts for now as I haven't done any business for first half of this year and do i really need to supply AUDITED accounts as a sole proprietor?

2. Pengiraan cukai umum

- don't get this at all?

3. Pengiraan terperinci tuntutan elaun modal. Nyatakan dengan terperinci pertambahan asset, pembelian secara sewa-beli, pelupusan dan hapuskira.

- I honestly have no idea!!

4. Pengiraan terperinci tuntutan elaun-elaun lain di bawah Jadual 2, 4, 4A, 7A, 7B, ACP1967.

- What's that again?

Would appreciate some assistance on this as this is the first time i've ever received this.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I would like to ask given a scenario where a Malaysia company were to invest in a asset/fund management company in a foreign country such as US. Is there any Malaysia regulation tax charge on the amount that the Malaysia company invested? So it means the malaysia company will have less funds to invest in.

Thanks.

Sorry for interruption ,I would like to ask a question regarding company tax.As I know that form 2014 onwards ,any loan from a company to the director will be charged with a certain amount of interest which known as "deemed director loan " if not mistaken .Does anyone know that what is the interest rate to be used as calculation ? I read from the lhdn website stated that the interest rate charged is based on "average lending rate (ALR)" .Actually wat is means by average lending rate ? Thanks for help

1. i dun think u need audited account, ur management account will do the job.
2. ur tax computation i suppose.
3. this is ur capital allowance, which u claim in ur tax comp.
4. other allowance u claim example reinvestment allowance.

my advice is call the tax officer that in charge for ur case, his/her ref or phone number might be found on the letter itself.

i guess it has nothing to do with income tax since they only focus on income. but there might be other regulations by Bank Negara or company act.
