hi all, not sure if this is the right place to ask..im planning to get a built-in oven..probably rinnai brand..to install it under counter...looking at the dimension of the space required for the oven to fit in, i have no problem for height & width...however, my cabinet depth is just 21.5" (546.1mm), looking at the website, the cabinet space required is 500mm and 50mm of ventilation space behind the cabinet (i supposed?)
so my question is, can the oven still fit in??? does oven need ventilation space behind??, even if have sufficient space to fit in the oven, the whole cabinet space behind is seal off, how is it possible to have ventilation for under counter oven?? |

hi guys, need some recommendation
Rinnai RH-963M VS Elba Elba Casa679/90 Elba look nicer, but which is more efficient? I saw Elba is up to 1,000m3/hr while Rinnai is 700m3, but I dont know about their efficiency. |

If you want to be for sure, you can install vent fan drawing air to you next cabinet or even duct it out.so my question is, can the oven still fit in??? does oven need ventilation space behind??, even if have sufficient space to fit in the oven, the whole cabinet space behind is seal off, how is it possible to have ventilation for under counter oven?? and 546 vs 500 is in mm, you are 5 mm short. I dont even think you care if you install 5 mm misaligned. |

If you have friends using mesh filter hoods like the one you have choosen, do ask them how is the performance? most of my customers complain about mesh filters (turn yellowish, hard to clean, poor suction) |

Here is an easier way to clean your FOTILE JQG9009
WARNING : Do not try this on other brand hood as it could damage the motor. Fotile has been tested and proven to be OK |

I have tested many hobs (more than 15 units) to know more about FLAME POWER. Recorded comparison videos upto 6 -7 different models and different brands (you can ask me to show you in my shop as i m not allowed to post comparison here). Here is my conclusion :
1. Most asian brand hobs have sufficient flame power (tested with 800ml water takes 4-5 minutes) 2. Some western brand hobs have low flame power more than 5 minutes. 3. kW as specified in catalogs does not represent flame power, it can only be used as a guide but not an accurate comparison. As tested, Fotile GCG series 3.8kW is stronger than other brand with 5kW, this shows that kW does not reflect the actual flame power of a hob. ![]() This post has been edited by zheilwane: Sep 7 2016, 05:04 PM |

looks like rubine is the preferred choice.
i've actually shortlisted: 1) Electrolux EFC926BAR + EGT7526CK I like it coz the hood's suction noise level is bearable and the gas hob has smart detector control. Package before Merdeka was RM2500 +/- 2) Fotile EH13 + GAG76202 fuction wise seems to be better than electrolux except for the suction level. Also hv been reading reviews that the gas hob flame power suits asian cooking style. Package : RM2538. After reading this thread, very tempting to go for rubine.. pls advise. My requirement: 1) Not ducting type for hood (not planning to drill the wall for installation) 2) budget for 2 items, less than RM2000 if possible 3) easy to clean for both thanks |
