What is the standard FOC accessories when you buy hob and hood?
Duct free how long? Wall cap? Gas pipe and hose?

If need buy additional duct or wall cap, how much?

Hi zheilwane,

I am looking for a 2 burner glass hob. Wondering how powerful the flame for GCG90201/90301 as its only 3.8kW? What kind of cooking can or can't be achieve?

Compared to Rubine RGH-ASSALTO2B-BL (5.0kW) which is a better buy as u are selling both?

Would a 5.3kW burner will be an overkill like Rinnai RB-2MYG?

BTW those i specified above are > 800mm wide as i like more space between burners and mostly dark in color...

Previously i am using Aerogaz, but i can't find the power of the burners and was disappointed by the time that water gets boiled and the wok is hot enuff to deep fry a fish...

Rinnai RB-2MYG is different class from fotile GCG90201 and rubine RGH-ASSALTO2B-BL.

to appreciate the flame quality, trust Rinnai.

from what i know Rinnai RB-2MYG has cleaning problem, pointed out by a customer if over spill, the food/dirt will go directly into the hob

From my experience and as mentioned, choosing a hob is not as easy as comparing kW only. There are many other factors that we will need to consider. (Higher kW doesnt mean stronger flame power, also need to look at the burner's technology, as proven a Fotile GCG with 3.8kW is stronger than Rubine 4.5kW)

If you wan the strongest flame power, get the Commercial type burner but that is too strong for household usage and also very ugly for modern kitchen design. There are pros and cons for every burner, that is why we will need to consider all factor and find the most balance design + power + usage + cleaning

Not everyone will appreciate extremely strong flame power, i have customers complaining fotile EPS burner series too powerful, getting a hob with sufficient strong is good enough. So, i will usually ask customer to compare with their existing hob flame. If they are using an asian hob design, 9 out of 10 will tell me that they are satisfy with the flame power, only those using western brands will complain low flame power

I have a customer who is a chef, to him a normal gas burner wont b strong enough, hence he got this instead (as per photo). However, this is definitely not good for modern kitchen design and a little too strong for normal user like us

having a higher kw hob, the users have the flame setting option to cater the cooking behaviour.

having a somewhat not high kw hob, the users only have the kw limit of cooking.

having a high kw hob doesn't mean that every time cooking is set at maximum power.

If u get a high kW hob but reduce the flame power, the size of the flame become smaller (wok coverage area become smaller).

Get the right flame power, you can turn max and it will cover a bigger work surface area, food cooked evenly. As per photo, a fotile GCG 90301 with 3.8kW and fotile GAG 86309 with 4.85kW the flame coverage area is the same at maximum heat. For stir fry, if GAG 86309 is too strong (for my case yes, may be not for other user), we will need to reduce the heat and coverage will definitely will be smaller.

I have tested and used many hobs in friend's and relatives house to learn and gain experience, that is why i m able to do the flame power comparison test. I also used Fotile EPS burner in my house for 1 week then later change back to GCG burner. What i said is actually based on actual customer feedback and my own usage experience. Different people will have different preference but my house's chefs (mom and grandma) also agree flame power too strong is not good for them.

For those who are looking for hobs, if you have time, just test other brands in your friends/relatives house to compare smile.gif

Hello
I would like some advice.
I am now renovating my kitchen and I plan to put freestanding hob + hood.
My wife already choose to buy the Rubine RFC-IA9508F-GX freestanding kitchen hob.
My Question for all is for the hood, between a box type (horizontal) vs the angled hood.
From Rubine catalog, its between RCH-GEMELLO-RS90 (angled) and RCH-IA90D-GX (Box).
The GEMELLO has 1600m2/h suction and the other has 1400m2/h.

Are there any other things to consider, it seem the pricing for the box type is more expensive, eventho the suction is slightly less. The angled one looks modern.
But I am not convinced that the angled one is better from suction from oily food type of cooking.

BTW - i will have an exhaust for the hood.

Thanks for your advice.

Strongest suction sometimes not the best, did u test it in exhibition? Gemmello is kinda noisy due to the high suction. I would go for IA90SM instead.

YOu need to check whether you can hack a 7" duct hole or not. If can then get Fotile EH10BQ hood + GCG 90301 hob, this is my best seller for many years and proven to be good. FYI, our FOTILE PROMO has FREE DELIVERY to Penang and other places in Peninsular Malaysia.

eh10BQ - Air Curtain

EH10BQ - Easy Clean surface
