Hello
I would like some advice.
I am now renovating my kitchen and I plan to put freestanding hob + hood.
My wife already choose to buy the Rubine RFC-IA9508F-GX freestanding kitchen hob.
My Question for all is for the hood, between a box type (horizontal) vs the angled hood.
From Rubine catalog, its between RCH-GEMELLO-RS90 (angled) and RCH-IA90D-GX (Box).
The GEMELLO has 1600m2/h suction and the other has 1400m2/h.

Are there any other things to consider, it seem the pricing for the box type is more expensive, eventho the suction is slightly less. The angled one looks modern.
But I am not convinced that the angled one is better from suction from oily food type of cooking.

BTW - i will have an exhaust for the hood.

Thanks for your advice.

may i know how much did u buy the freestanding kitchen hob?

If you bake a lot and need a big oven, then freestanding is good. 100L vs built in 60L. However, if u dont bake much, using a 100L to bake just 1 tray of cookies will waste electricity $$ and time.

Range cooker height usually 36" while standard table top is 33". If you need your range cooker to be same height as your table top, then you need to check whether a 36" height table is ok for you or not, if the range cook is jus as a unit itself, not next to a cabinet then no problem.

range cooker has 5 burners and fish burner Vs normal built in hob 3 burners. However, most built in hobs flame power is stronger than range cooker.

Range cooker, if oven spoil, nd to change whole unit. Separate units, can be changed individually.

So, you need to decide based on your usage to determine what is best for you. For me, i chose individual units.

Yeah, very durable. Built in also durable. Just in case only smile.gif

PM me your budget and i will suggest the best combination or best to drop by my showroom to have a look at the actual unit to decide, just reading online hard to make the best decision.

If u notice suction power has reduced, then need to call technician to clean. Rarely customer call up to service Fotile's hood. As long as u clean the filter regularly, should last u long without the need for technician to clean

I have been using it for 1 year+ performance still the same. DIY clean myself about 3 - 4 months once

actually i sold n installed one unit of EMS 9016 (Fotile W) around january, product wasnt officially launched tat time but due to the odd kitchen design, he has to use this hood and i manage to get it for him. Tested it, was good just a little nosier compared to EH10BQ due to the higher suction power.

Honestly, i have used EH10BQ and JQG 9009 in my house, smoke n oil reduction not much difference as EH10BQ is already good enough to extract most of the smoke & oil, nothing much can be improved. Unless you have extra budget then you can go for better design or extra features like JQG9009 and Fotile EMS 9016 (fotile W)

YOu wont be able to get much review now as it is only officially launch this month, reviews should only be available after 4 - 5 months i guess

new model definitely better looking and more expensive. As mentioned, i used EH10BQ before, i find it very good already, performance wise cant tell the difference compared to JQG 9009. Odor reduction slightly better for JQG 9009.

From what i know, standard height from floor to the top part of the cover is 8ft while most ceiling height is 9 to 10ft. So, the difference u need to cover with plaster ceiling box up or hide it in cabinet or customize a longer cover

No cabinet in the area and plaster ceiling box is last option . Can your shop provide customize cover service if it is requested by customer?

Going to install rubine boxline 2.. If i install the hood 32 inches above the hob, no problem? Suction will be okay or is it too high already? Thanks.
