QUOTE(cuteliz @ Jan 7 2014, 09:54 AM) just want to save some so that can buy more later!! haha.. Don't wait till June, price of 10197 Fire Brigade will be higher than now. You know what they always say: "Buy now, regret later". by the way, want to be healthier and to stay away nasi lemak, mee goreng those oily food for breakfast... i'm counting the days of the last installment of my car, coming soon in June, then i can start look into Modular? haha.. QUOTE(faish888 @ Jan 7 2014, 11:09 AM) Waaa... you have a LIST from your supplier? Yeah, but the prices in that list is not always that attractive... So what BO are you going to do this year for the cannot tahan club? Price does not matter as long as we get it first... Haha! Slow down on BO this year as I don't have that many sets in my "buy list". In fact, hoping new distributors will save me the trouble of self importing... The problem with self import is I always buy too many, end up jamming up my $$$ and storage issues... Wife nag... Anybody interested in CMF Series 12? (aka Lego Movie Series?) I'm going to order myself a few boxes, maybe I will do a bulk for that if people are keen... QUOTE(cuteliz @ Jan 7 2014, 11:30 AM) I just checked last night, from my supplier before shipping and tax the cost is already ~RM750... I leave it to you to work out how much is the final landed price in Malaysia...QUOTE(fadzlie @ Jan 7 2014, 12:03 PM) Hi everyone, i'm new in this thread. I also considered the Ikea Detolf based on what I read here but after checking out the real thing I changed my mind. Like what bro maxilife1 said, it is not completely sealed so dust will still go in but to me the deal breaker was the build quality. It is not a very sturdy shelf, held up only by the four skinny metal rods. It is wobbly when you gently push it and the glass is very thin and flexes too much to my liking. I can't have that in a house with kids running around...I start buying Lego last year (starting from Shell Ferrari set) and quickly get addicted. I had Lego when I was a kid, but that was ages ago. After the Shell set, I bought a few Creator house sets and then it get worse. I bought 10197, and start looking for more modular. Then I bought 10211. I thought I want to stop collecting modular, and buy smaller Creator house. I bought Tree House and Seaside House, but both can't give the same satisfaction as modulars. So, I bought 10218 knowing they are next in line to be discontinued. I have a problem to display my collection without collection dust. My room got no air-cond. You guys have any suggestion? Is IKEA glass display a good option? |

I'm going to IKEA this week to check on Expedit or Detolf. Maybe after I finish building my Pet Shop. 2014, need to save money for the upcoming sets. Big sets like Simpson's House and Metalbeard's Sea Cow are very very tempting. Not to forget Parisian Restaurant! Buy maybe I'll that for later. Gotta buy Town Hall first, then Palace Cinema. LOL |

I'm going to IKEA this week to check on Expedit or Detolf. Maybe after I finish building my Pet Shop. But be aware the Detolf cannot fit modulars like Town hall or Fire Brigade because the the spacing between shelves cannot be adjusted. Even the Grand Emporium won't fit into Detolf unless you remove the roof bill board sign.2014, need to save money for the upcoming sets. I use Besta for its 40cm depth so it can even fit a large grey base plate.http://www.ikea.com/my/en/catalog/products/S39885947/ Glass doors and lighting is available but optional. Actually i have a question on storage of lego boxes. How to you store them? Opened ones I stack them up like wallpaper. The windows are never opened. But somehow the smell of boxes fills up the entire room. I have tried using those tasty hyppo type stuff to absorb the moisture but the same smell still ada.
Any ideas? |

I have tried using those tasty hyppo type stuff to absorb the moisture but the same smell still ada. I also have that smell, I supposed once you have enough of those boxes in one room the smell becomes very obvious. I even had charcoal in the room but that doesn't seem to work. In the end I spread them all over the house (wherever I can find space to stash my loot) and the smell is gone from the room. I also use those cling wrap films to wrap the boxes (opened and unopened ones) and that may be the solution...Any ideas? QUOTE(cuteliz @ Jan 7 2014, 02:40 PM) Zaman yang terlepas...
