Congrats on new version v18. rclxms.gif
Already 9 pages in a day? Wow! Must be all the bargain hunters looking to salvage some last-minute sales. Wonder if there'll be any ALJ warehouse sale as rumored? tongue.gif

2014 is around the corner so I'm already targeting the new Lego sets... here's a preview of what's coming (and it's just the tip of the iceberg)!

This is interesting... I guess since LEGO is taking over distribution in Malaysia, we should see these sets in local retail shops this month with similar prices to our neighbours down south. smile.gif

Guys you know where I can get the Lego Racers Ferrari F1 size is 1:8 model?

Been looking everywhere for it.

1:9 is also okay.

LEGO Ferrari sets have been retired some years back. Won't come cheap now, you can try bricklink or eBay. Hopefully they make a comeback in future. thumbup.gif

erm..was browsing brickset about shuttle space theme.. biggrin.gif

found 2 sets that looks the same.. 10213 (year 2010) and 10231 (year 2011)

but there is different (minimal) as from this video..

From Brickset confirming of the differenceses biggrin.gif

"Since its release in 2010, 10213 Shuttle Adventure has proven to be very popular! Although the model was designed for a 16+ target audience, our consumer call center has brought to our intention that many younger children have been building and playing with the model. As a result, the Direct team has decided to look at the model once more to see what changes could be made in order to provide a better build and play experience for a slightly younger target audience. 10231 Shuttle Expedition may look similar to Shuttle Adventure in many ways, however its build is very different and offers several advantages.

The fuel tank has been reinforced with supports to strengthen the assembly
The landing gear is strengthened to function better across many different floor types
The Cargo doors can now be more rigorously opened and closed
The entire build has been reworked to limit opportunities for misplacing elements
Astronauts now have wigs in addition to their helmets (1 male, 1 female). Face prints are also different.
The new set now has 1,230 elements
New Satellite can be securely positioned on the new mechanical arm 10231 Shuttle"

conclusion, get the latest one 10231 tongue.gif
*
ARGHHH!!! Why did I have to read this? Now I feel like throwing away my 10213... gonna send an email to TLG customer service and ask for 10231 as replacement! vmad.gif

What a crazy first Monday of the year 2014. First the Simpsons house, then Alby tease us with a photo of the Parisian Restaurant!  sweat.gif

I was checking the internet in the morning before starting work only to see the Simpsons house. Although it looks bland but as a modular fan I will definitely get it, provided the price is ok.

Then during lunch hour I saw Alby's post about the Parisian Restaurant  shocking.gif Without wasting time I PM him.  sweat.gif I hope he dun mind me PM him for the PR. His poison was too strong!

For those who asked bout the modular buildings, like everyone has said, quickly get the Fire Brigade as soon as possible. Then move on to Grand Emporium followed by Pet Shop and Town Hall.

Word of caution, once start you cannot stop buying modulars! an old photo I took last year after I received by Palace Cinema. Once I get the Parisian Restaurant I might retake all of them again.

Nais! Nais! Nais! drool.gif I see modular Olivia's house but no CC & MS? What's that lil' red & yellow building to left of TH?

Wish I could take out all my modulars to build and play... hmm.gif

Does anyone know anything about CMF Series 13 or CMF Simpsons Series? Product number is 71005. (71004 is Lego Movie Series)

I can see it in my list and wonder what it has to offer when the sets already includes the main characters? Maybe that's where you will find Itchy and Scratchy? haha! laugh.gif

It is scheduled for May 2014 release. Strange that not much publicity on Simpsons sets so far... hmm.gif

I'll most probably only get that Simpsons house but now that I am collecting all the CMF series I have fallen into that trap and there's no turning back. Every CMF series must buy! Doh! doh.gif Doh! doh.gif Doh! doh.gif

Waaa... you have a LIST from your supplier? drool.gif

So what BO are you going to do this year for the cannot tahan club? Price does not matter as long as we get it first... flex.gif rclxms.gif

2014 will be (to quote Emmet from The LEGO Movie) … AWESOME!

A quick scan of the Brickset database for 2014 sets returns 350 matches (and counting, as more will be announced as the year progresses).
http://www.brickset.com/search/?Page=1&query=2014

It’s only January but my 2014 LEGO shopping list is already out of control. Need to break open my LEGO piggy bank for 2015 to feed my 2014 carvings…
71006 The Simpsons House
10243 Parisian Restaurant
10241 Maersk Line Triple-E
71004 Collectable Minifigures - The LEGO Movie Series
71005 Collectable Minifigures - The Simpsons
70810 MetalBeard's Sea Cow
21019 The Eiffel Tower
21104 NASA Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover
60046 Police Station
60050 Train Station
60051 High-Speed Passenger Train
60052 Cargo Train
21107 Minecraft Micro World: The End

Not to mention multiple sets from following themes…
The LEGO Movie
Super Heroes (Batman, Spiderman, Capt America, Hulk, X-Men, etc.)
Star Wars
The Hobbit (3rd movie)
Friends
Disney Princess
Ninjago
Legends of Chima
City (including new Arctic subtheme)
Creator
Mixels
Architecture
Technic
Advent Calendar
Polybags

And then there’s possibly more exclusive sets that have not been revealed yet…
The next Star Wars UCS – Slave I?
The next train model after Horizon Express?
The next world landmark model – any ideas?
The next vehicle model after VW Camper Van – Mini Cooper?
The next Winter Village series set

PHEW! Luckily I’m not in Hero Factory, Duplo, Juniors, etc.

Now all we need is a LEGO Store & LEGO Shop at Home for Malaysia… smile.gif
