Play game hot is ok but if you say normal usage like whatsapp or watch youtube hot then it's not normal.

it was hot la. uncomfortable for my left fingers cuz it was hot. had to change the holding spot while playing.

it is that hot. thats why i raise a concern here.

i've used iphones, samsungs, htcs and now sony. sony is by far, the hottest. and i meant heat, not lookls

in engineering POV, it is good hot. Mean heat able to dispense. You gotta know Sony design by putting 2 glass.. hence any heat disperse will directly transfer to the back glass.

Another point of view, PvZ2 sucks coz take too much graphic processing power hence produce alot heat.

I use tasker to alert me with sound as well as leave a notification in the notification center to tell me my phone is fully charged.

Hard to depend on the led notification as it becomes green when reach 90% of charging...

hot after how many games of pvz2? you mean you tested the same game on other phones as well? if z1 is hotter than iphone, it's needless to say la

from Z1's user manual:

Battery notification light status
Green : The battery charge level is greater than 90%
Flashing red : The battery level is low
Orange : The battery is charging and the battery charge level is less than 90%

so far i play so many games.... PvZ 2 is the only one which cause the phone to become very hot, duno why since the graphic isn't even nice

other games like CoC, Sonic Dash and Angry Birds Go no problems at all, and the graphics is much better.

btw recommend u guys to try out sonic dash and angry birds go, nice games

btw greenify latest update enables it to work on non-root devices now, however there's no auto hibernation, you need to hibernate apps manually


maybe some of you may consider update to 4.3 now

New Z1 user here - after comtemplating it over the Nexus 5, I realised I couldn't live without the SD card and the N5's FUSE, so here I am with one of the best build quality phones I have ever owned.

My previous phone was an S2, with a custom ROM so things are definitely need getting used to Had to live with a few awesome features missing like Halo but I'm sure something aimilar will come about.

How many of you guys are already on 4.3?

Guys, what kind of micro SD u all use for Z1? Is there any difference if use the SDXC type? So expensive leh.. but the speed..

at 2.2Ghz speed sure really hot... it's time to get fan installed inside...
Maybe can suggest at Sony Mobile FB page....

16GB class 4 good enough for me as I only save my own data.

bring down the max processing speed if u're rooted and try again.. it might amaze u lol

Android 4.2.2:
1st sample - Android 4.2.2

Same settings: 20.7 MPX, Manual, similar lights, similar place.

With Android 4.2.2 there isn't noise in dark zones and even normal zones, with Android 4.3 completely noisy.

I have to add that I didn't update modifying nothing in the mobil phone, just updated with the SONY message in my mobile.
