Hey folks,

Anyone been back to laguna kelana jaya lately? Any idea what the bite rates like? Looking for a cheap CnR pond just to lepas gian for ultralight fishing! Oh yeah, btw... AJN's JJJ great rod for Mekong fishing, u'd feel every single tug and pull of the fish. Strong enough backbone to cast out far... need at least the longer 6 feet plus rod though. Love the bend on the rod! smile.gif

hey there bros,  i need a bit of advice for medium-heavy fast action spinner rods for frogging. I went scouting around at tackleshops in KK and found this...

- the crimson 6"6 rapalero blade 10-17lb

would this rod be strong enough to yank snakeheads out of heavy cover and still throw any frog baits far?

advice bros pls.. thanks~

usually see the sifu who fishes haruans commercially on 8-10 foot fiber rods! strong n long to cast distance, not to mention accurately into small lubangs among the hyacinths! tongue.gif

I've seen a row of rods/reels in the restaurant. I think i remember someone mention they're for rent! Part of the fun is shopping for your own setup, and landing a fish on it!!

went to EAK last saturday for a short session... Didn't realize they'd increase price since the beginning of the year to RM30 already!! sad.gif For a CnR pond, it's rather expensive if u're there for a leisure pacu pounding session... ah well, we did tempt a few pacus n heard someone's reel/rod went screaming with a loud piak sound in the end when the reel got spooled by some big monster at the lower dam!

Nah dint bring my gears & the family could'nt stand hot weathers.
End up bringing them to the mini zoo around bukit cahaya
Hows strike rate? I would say qty vs quality?
*
Haiya, not as good already. Got pacak twice only. Biggest catch 2kg pacu, smallest, a 6incher! tongue.gif 3 of us landed like 5-6fishes... which is pathetic for rm90 CnR pond. Last time i was here, it was non stop pacak action bro... sad!! sad.gif

TO me, best place with full facilities would be CWS.
FIshing is RM30 per pax and boat rental is 100 for full day. That Bujuk 55 can take 3 angler with comfort. Only problem with that boat is requires "nasi power".
No guide nor motor included. After fishing you can use the club house facilities to bath, swim, or even dine in the club house.
Just google up Clear water sacntuary golf resort in batu Gajah.

CWS definitely has better bite rate than Prima, but prima has other fishes to catch.  CWS is just mainly PBs.
Land base at the driving range can land you some good 30+cm
club house lake also good along the shore.
Best to take a boat out o the Wetland lake. recently landed a 45 cm.
Spin flies will get you those average 20-30+ cm,,. target lily pads with sinking pencils for those 40cm
just two of us caught 74 PBs from 8am till 7pm.
Cheaper to go out town to have lunch.

Thanks for the update!! Now i'm drooling!!! lol, any idea if the boat hire is still possible?
