would this rod be strong enough to yank snakeheads out of heavy cover and still throw any frog baits far?

TO me, best place with full facilities would be CWS.
FIshing is RM30 per pax and boat rental is 100 for full day. That Bujuk 55 can take 3 angler with comfort. Only problem with that boat is requires "nasi power".
No guide nor motor included. After fishing you can use the club house facilities to bath, swim, or even dine in the club house.
Just google up Clear water sacntuary golf resort in batu Gajah.

CWS definitely has better bite rate than Prima, but prima has other fishes to catch.  CWS is just mainly PBs.
Land base at the driving range can land you some good 30+cm
club house lake also good along the shore.
Best to take a boat out o the Wetland lake. recently landed a 45 cm.
Spin flies will get you those average 20-30+ cm,,. target lily pads with sinking pencils for those 40cm
just two of us caught 74 PBs from 8am till 7pm.
Cheaper to go out town to have lunch.
