Guys.... I need a fish grip so that easier to release hook and can take photos... Will the mini ones around 17cm be k to use at Jugra? The ones I saw at digital cheapest RM50....
How about this one from Lazada at RM28? I see most people use the grip to lift the fish when taking photos... Does it hurt the fish? Wheres the best place to hold them.. Lower lip? Attached thumbnail(s) |

It is essential that the lips of the grip is secure does not open easily. Usually the fish grip locks on to the lower lip of the fish. |

help help~~
i recently bought a beginner rod and reel. pair it up with 30lbs braided line. everytime i cast, sure got fried meehoon flying out. so i remove the line and re-reel. got better after a few cast. then whenever i cast further than the previous 1, it will come back again. is there any incompatibility issue? or i have to tie a weight, and cast as far as possible several times to break in? |

WHen you said bihun fly out,.. meaning a bunch lines messed up after you cast outside of your spool ? Bihun on stuck on your rod ?
THat is one indication that your you have over spool or too much line. Leave 2mm space on your spool level. |

The one i use on my friend is "cloth line" he said. But i dun think its braided. Not like mine at all. His is colourful. Very soft. Looks really like cloth. What are those? His line when cast, very smooth. Very quiet. *i bought 200m. i think i still have around 50m on hand, and several m's on a bottle. This post has been edited by alpha33: May 6 2016, 08:13 PM |

yes. it written there PE braid.
all also is plastic. PE is a type of plastic. they just take strands and braid it so it become sttronger and smoother. PE lines are what ppl in cantonese call "bou seng" = cloth line. it prevents chau mai fun and since it is smoother gliding out, and lighter, they can reel more throw further and still have plenty of drag strength. the colors on braided i know. my friend bought. more expensive, got indication 1. every color = x meter. dunno 1-5 meter per color. is just indicator. |

The siakaps in Banting are getting smaller and smaller. More difficult to catch too.
