ok guys. it proves the Magic of Istanbul work. In actual fact, it is 2-2. Linesman call off Sterling's goal wrongly.

So you all better put on the Magic of Istanbul Siggy from now on please.

Hard to say really. Scoring against City is like poking a hornet's nest, who can say for sure they won't come all out and still outscore us even if we went 2-0 ahead. But a great game that could have gone either way. There were some positives for us for sure but we need to sort out our defense in set pieces and in counter attacks. Chelsea will definitely be looking to hurt us on the break the way they parked the bus against Arsenal.

What a game. No shame losing there.

And what a team we have.

Again, Allen and Henderson, the squad players has impressed me.

Sakho...had me on the edge of my seat.

We played better than MC today. Should have walked away with at least a point.
I blame Coutinho & Sterling couldn't finish it off.
Anyway let's move on to next match. That's more important.

We fourth now. Im predict we gonna win again chelsea. We play well but not take the chance cause us the lose. Sterling might has to practice more how to finish the chance. Coutinho afraid to shot from the edge of the box. He shy or something?i thought moses gonna come for lucas/allen to move coutinho to the centre but BR want to rest tired countinho for chelsea game. Overall not bad because everton lost..if not, we fith.

City's worst victory at home was a 2-0 win against Hull so yeah we definitely gave them the toughest home league match of the season, definitely more than Arsenal did.

We could win this, but too bad too many chances wasted, if we maintain this performance for the whole season, and make use of all the chances, top 4 should be not a big problem. YNWA! smile.gif

As for Chelsea, if they are going to park the bus like they did against Arsenal, we could win it if all chances successfully converted, fast counter attack? Skrtel sliding tackle will block it! biggrin.gif

Johnson, Sakho, Cissokho were terrible for me. It's a miracle we only got 2. Why oh why Agger stayed on the bench. Is it because of Sakho's price tag? Coutinho lived up to his reputation as a half-time man. 2nd half self-destruct. Gave away many balls at dangerous positions. I pity Sterling the most. Terrible decision by ref. He do need to polish up his finishing though.

YNWA. We'll bounce back harder.

Not our day. A horrible call by the linesman denying us a goal. A bad mistake by Mignolet which should have saved the shot easily. Wasteful with the ample chances we had. City's quick attacking (and counter-attacking) got the best of us. Sloppy passes. Marred an otherwise decent performance away from home at the home of quite possibly the best attacking side in the premier league. After frustration sunk in, it was easy for MC. Suarez going back to his diving ways was sad. We were desperate but nevertheless, never go back there.

Lows: Johnson - please just bench him. Useless, sloppy, wasteful.
Highs: Sterling.

On to the Bridge. #YNWA

Seriously, it was always going to count on luck to beat Man City. Even a draw. But we did supposed to get a draw isnt it?

So no complains.

honestly, i didnt expect such a performance from the lads. we did more than enough to get a point. but we couldnt get it. lots of credit to the lads. we looked confident and playing like that at etihad against a team with a PERFECT home record this season is just wonderful.

theres only one thing i'd like to add. after our brief 10-15mins of dominance where we scored the goal, do u feel like the players got a little carried away and enthusiastic ? to concede that late in the first half to a counter attack, away from home, to a top team, i feel showed a huge naivety in the squad without gerrard in there, without carra. we lack a good leader and calming influence imo.

apart from that awful miss, i thought sterling was our mom. pls remember, hes only 19 and he will learn and be better.

a thought also came to me when watching skrtel whom for the past few games been struggling against quality players attacking; caulker, kompany. and next up ivanovic/terry. i wonder, how do we practice defending set pieces ? skrtel is imo the best header we have got, and apart from him maybeeeee sakho ? kolo and agger is decent at most imo. so how does the team prepare to def set pieces or crosses ?
