QUOTE(Mikeshashimi @ Dec 27 2013, 03:38 AM) Semantics. He didnt try to win the ball. He looked for a foul. I don't like players who go for a foul without even trying a little bit to win the ball. QUOTE(dillonyong @ Dec 27 2013, 03:38 AM) He didnt dive but he did make the most of it though. I saw the replay and Kompany did pull his shirt. But it was not enough to make a tumble like he did. I think he had a right to protest and call attention to the fouls. In all fairness, his two 'dives' came in the dying minutes when things were getting desperate. I would hardly call that a return to his diving ways. He was just trying all he could. I remembered how I cursed after the commentators said Suarez was being overly theatrical then later when they showed a replay they said, 'oh he may have had a point'. Hate the judgment Suarez gets, just like his yellow card for a non-challenge.Well, he did his best to show the ref there was obstruction but he will never get it. Or else, Skrtel would have cost us 3 penalties at least. All in all I think we were pretty even. Goals came because of our mistakes and naivete. City didn't make mistakes and to score against that defence shows that we have something going. my concern is that we are really thin. Moses and Aspas on? I didn't even know they were playing until Moses got a yellow. |

Migno mistake 2nd goal definitely.
Anyway..Great fight by the lads. I'm proud of our performance. We deserve something out of the game. A draw would be appropriate but Citeh were strong...so yeah, it was a great game of football. Suarez did everything right but at the end of the day, we lacked just a little bit of quality and luck was not on our side today. At least we did not succumb to 6-0, 6-1, or 6-3. |

QUOTE(dillonyong @ Dec 27 2013, 03:48 AM) Again, dont let the few errors cloud your judgement. I am not being positive crazy here. Fully agreed. Apart from that sloppy first touch he was immense for us today making some crucial interceptions. For those questioning why was Agger on the bench, it was probably decision based on merit because Skrtel and Sakho has been working for us the past couple of games. But after today BR might wanna give Agger a chance at the Bridge next week but I still think we should stick with Skrtel and Sakho.Look at the whole game again. Sakho started many movements from the back successfully. 80:20 I would say. 20 was at the end when his sloppiness almost cost us. But judge him on the whole match. He's a rock. Glen Johnson hasn't been the same since the injury. Martin Montoya anyone? |

We've not seen the bad side of him because everything is rosy at the moment..once the shit hit the fan, i wont be surprised if suarez starts doing some weird things again. All in all I think we were pretty even. We talked too much to the press before the match. Most of the time the outcome has been lower than what has been said/expected when we did that.

Gutted. Sterling was miles onside and it was a poor decision from the linesman. We could have been 2 up. Also, he missed and absolute sitter. Joe Hart was MOM which says a lot. No shame in thus defeat. We tried to match City pound for pound and went down fighting to a team that averages more than 4 ggoals a game against visiting teams.

AyeWe were Very unlucky with the offside goal. Linesman must still be having a hangover after the boozing the night before! There were many positives especially with the chances created. What could have been if we were 2-0 up? |

QUOTE(jialitrading @ Dec 27 2013, 08:33 AM) Players like: kolo, moses, alberto, aspas, cissokho TBF Cisssokho did pretty well last nightAre not the standard of a team that competing for champions league. Agree BR signed them but we've got no choice as we are not able to attract good players last summer. Once we are in TOP 4 coming summer, will be able to attract good players, and need ship out the above players. |
