Guys check out MLMs like Herbalife and Nuskin , the shares are taking a big hit today after China undertaking an investigation into Nuskin operation following an article in the People's daily report . This kind of remind me of an incident last year where Bill Ackman accusing Herbalife of being a pyramid scheme , the shares took a big hit but now recovered and got even better . Now the question is will Nuskin recover and when will it recover ? hmmm

Nice spot...good knee jerk play possibility.

I like to see Dow 14000 or 15000 first before 18000.
or better yet, go down to bear territory and take a peak at 13000 level. brows.gif

AAPL China Mobile launched... looks like they're selling into the news.
I may get to keep my shares if AAPL can stay below 550 by closing. biggrin.gif

Earning season maybe volatile, as some company may exceed/meet/miss their financial result
or Wall Street analyst's earning expectation..

Ticker: SNE

The Q-to-Q results were bad due to declining levels of net profits and profit margins. Who's buying Sony's TV, cameras and cams anymore, right? Not sure about their new phones... are they any good?

But, they did have a fantastic sales for their PS4 during the holiday season.
With the recent sales figures from their new PS4 product line, this should help turn the company around for next Q as more sales coming with their home entertainment divisions.

Stock price action: Bearish, under consolidation.

Support: 16.50
Resistance: 18.00
Current price: 17

Depending on your time horizon, I would stay LONG side with tight stop at slightly below that support level.
Watch for next Q results.

Yeah going long on this. I see a few positive catalyst:

1) Sony Mobile Phone Division, especially xperia is promising. Reviews especially user reviews has been good.
2) Console sales is good, but their software / app such as PS plus is one to lookout for on how it could add value for the sony ecosystem
3) Strong overseas sales and a weak yen
4) Sony pictures with better releases and less flop (hopefully. American Hustler was good)

The negative, would be the group has many diversified business like computing, electronics goods which is all on a downhill battle.

Looking at a target price of 21.50 on next Q result. Wishful thinking thumbup.gif ?

For any TD Ameritrade users - have you ever had issues funding your account via Wire transfer?

I made my initial deposit on Friday and got an e-mail today that the payment was rejected and returned - and TD can't tell me the reason.

Also cost me $44 USD in bank charges sad.gif

TDA uses First National Bank of Omaha for incoming wire.
Did you get the ABA and Account number correct? I dunno their SWIFT code but you can ask them if your transmitting bank uses that.

No sure abt TD Ameritrade.. But need to have SWIFT CODE of the bank, bank account number
and trading account number(optional). Another important matter is the First NAME, Middle NAME
and LAST NAME (SURNAME) in yr application.. USA's family NAME/Surname is at the last..
If the BANK/Broker officers saw yr passport first/last name is different sequence per yr application(USA format),
it may reject it too.. It is applicable too when you sell yr share and want/need to wire back
the money.. Usually it won't..

Yep, the payment was sent to First National Bank of Omaha, I called TD Ameritrade before to confirm their SWIFT code. All my name and details were in order as they should have been, I'll call TDAT again today to see if they can give me a reason (yesterday was Martin Luther King day, ie. banks not working) - don't want to waste $44 USD again for the payment to get returned again shakehead.gif The only restriction they told me is that the funds must be coming from an account in my own name.

My bank didn't give me much info :

Please be advised the funds have been returned for USDxxxx, stating there are restrictions on the beneficiary account and they are unable to apply the funds.

Gwei lohs' issue with typical Surname & First names?
eg in MBB: Wong Seng Kwan
but in US a/c since we fill in First name = Seng Kwan, Last Name/Surname Wong, the account name = Seng Kwan Wong, which differs from MBB's?

Heard of this prob from other users when withdrawing $ from OptionsXpress to local bank account though. Not during $ in.

Nope, not the issue - I'm gwei loh so my name is the same way around, and the payment didn't come from an Asian bank.

I'll see what they tell me later - need to wait until night time due to the time difference

US future +40+.
from bloomberg::

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- European stock markets advanced on Tuesday, tracking most Asian bourses higher after the People's Bank of China last night provided a short-term liquidity injection to commercial banks. The extra liquidity comes ahead of the New Year holiday later this month, when large amounts of money are usually withdrawn from banks to fund travel and gifts.

If you're not in hurry, it is cheaper to send them a bank draft/cheque (or cashier's cheque) drawn in USD.
Just mail to them via regular Pos. Takes 2-3 weeks to clear but it works.
