You know, even since Bernanke took office, he has been the market Santa Claus except for 07 and 08.
Now, we all know Bernanke will no longer be here next year, and Yellen will take over.
I think she could be the Grinch instead of playing Claus for next year. tongue.gif

thanks. looks like chinese new year holidays could be a stress one if still holding high % of stocks.  sweat.gif

Chinese new year should be good for Asian stocks (Year of the Horse).. but not sure about US stocks.

I look at the performance of China/HKSE market.. been flat for entire year of 2013. Hopefully, next year will be better for them (rotation).

Anyone shorting twtr?

Depending on your timeline, now, it's the time to stay long, not short for TWTR.
Wait for it to stall at the top first. It's still going up.

The sell signal came in yesterday ($60). It's not too late but if you want to do it,
do it with a defined stop.

AAPL still going down.. almost to 53x.xx level, that would be a good buy point.

already touched 538 today. already time to buy? ...  sad.gif

Yes! I'm IN!

The intraday reversal is good, it follows SP500 to bounce, though not as much.
The bulls are happy again. Taper news is good news...

Better take a look and close out short depending on your position. Bulls are back in control for TWTR.

Guys , any idea on TSLA and TWTR ? so bullish , especially TWTR , any of u invest or trade these stocks ? And do u guys follow shipping stocks ? recently  soared a lot
*
TWTR = stay long (no saying how high it will go). thumbup.gif
TSLA = ok so far but I see upside limited to 180'ish ~

Not sure which shipping stock you're refering to, give us some examples.

FB = continue to stay long as well but I won't not put new money here. Wait for pull back to 54/54 area.

I think $600 will be here by Jan earnings. So, I'm long since that last dip to 538, remembered?
So, I'm staying long and just sell some lower strike PUTs and covered calls to make extra money while I wait.

ya i remembered. i bought some at 544 a day later.  biggrin.gif
now thinking to add more....so unsure should do it now or wait for correction. From the graph, it seems correction may only pressed down to around 550 area, unless the bull back off for a little longer from here. On the other hand, if it reach 600 before correction, the following correction may get quite hard to fall until 550.....probably only at 570 area, which is even higher than today's price.  hmm.gif
*
538 is the support floor now, 575 is ceiling (Dec 5 high). We need to see AAPL pushes above 575 for the next traction to 600 level.

Btw, if you hold enough AAPL shares (at least 10), you can also sell weekly covered calls to make some money while you wait. The only thing is if it gets taken away (if it hits the strike price by every Friday expiration), you almost have to buy back immediately if you want to own the shares. For these two weeks (holiday seasons), it is the best time to sell some slightly out of money calls because the trading days are short (in your favor). biggrin.gif

Hey DMC , check out BALT and DRYS , seems good from the chart , but looks like they are to due for a pullback soon . I might add more on the dip .

So you guys think twtr is a good investment ? Seems it is unstoppable now , I planned to bought some during last night dip before the previous day closing price but I didn't , wonder when will there be a pullback ?  U guys invest in it or just swing trading it ?
*
IMO, no, I do not think TWTR is a good INVESTMENT because TWTR hasn't really figure out how to make money yet.
But, I think it is good for a TRADE only. Get in during momentum UP and momentum DOWN.

Lots of speculation that it is going to be next FB but until TWTR can come up with a good plan like FB, I will not hold it.

I'll take a look at BALT and DRYS later. I know DRYS been really bad for many years.. is it making a come back?

Shorting chance for TWTR coming up soon.. we got gap down. I'm watching for bounce to 72-72.50 to make my entry with a tight stop. This thing is volatile...

fantastic suggestion! TWTR went exactly as predicted/ forecast. Up over 72, and gap down 7+%!!! wow. i wonder if you used chart TA ??
*
Yes, mostly TA and got a few adjustments myself to see the price action.

Again, TWTR is momentum play only.. this is NOT for investment. Lots of big boys are playing quick money.
Don't put all your money in this stock. Very dangerous. nod.gif

Take a look at the CIMBC25. This ETF was setup 3 years ago by CIMB to emulate the FTSE Xinhua 25 Chinese stocks traded at HKSE.

IMO, trading ETF is better as it is broader based index to see how healthy is the market in China. In the past 2-3 years, it basically been flat.

You probably need to ask the folks who actively trading in Bursa to see if there is any well known China company listing in Bursa or not. I'm sure there are but the last few years been quite a few of pump and dump by the Chinese pirate ship in local market making investors shy away from China based company.
