Kerb weight, Myvi is 950kg, and Alza Advanced is 1120kg. It is indeed a 160kg or 18% more.
However, Myvi has 117Nm torque and Alza 136Nm torque, that's 16% more torque, so it seems sufficient to handle its weight.
Unfortunately I've not been in an Alza before, but I've admired few of them while walking around P2 service center bays.
For the engine noise, what does it sound like? Does it correspond to 2.8k RPM?
One of the things I can think of, could it be the intake hose with the resonating chamber?
Torque is mostly to address pickup or acceleration, not to sustain high speed... If you wanna know how it sounds like, get an Alza and rev it to around 2.8k to 3.3k rpm...However, Myvi has 117Nm torque and Alza 136Nm torque, that's 16% more torque, so it seems sufficient to handle its weight.

It's a common issue of engine noise on pre-facelift Alza, lots of ppl complain about it between 110-130 kph... Beyond that the noise alleviates slightly, so sometimes I rather drive at 140kph... It could be some resonance somewhere, but it's hard to tell, me no expert...
