Beware, 27°C will cause the air cond(non inverter type) to cut in/out too often, the capacitor will spoil faster than normal.

Set it to 28 with 1 or 2 speed fan. Humid enough that the lungs don't dry out but cool enough that the body doesn't feel too sticky. My kids room is set to this temperature for 4 years and the eldest one don't suffer from asthma. The aircond still works and is clean due to it's self-cleaning function.

Maybe I can raise the temp or lower it biggrin.gif but my son hmm.gif

QUOTE(weikee @ Aug 14 2014, 09:49 PM)
When you set 27c is still a freezer is either few of this possibility
- You afraid of cold
- your ac temperature sensor are faulty.

In Office, minimal we need 23, anything higher is so stuffy. Even at home in enclosed area.

If you run 27c too long, some old ac that long never service will have one kind of smell because the mold build up sometime and the mold become too "watery"  That usually what happen to old non service ac.
*
Hah that's why this air conds smell like mould, last owner never service it cry.gif

There was a study sometime ago. Here you can read

http://www.ohsrep.org.au/faqs/workplace-an...t-are-the-rules

http://www.deseretnews.com/article/8655627...old.html?pg=all

Difference country have different study, but 23c is usually the right number for most of the study.

At office,we use central unit not split unit,so their temp is always hmmmmmmmm

If its too old, or you really hate that unit, just take it a reason/excuse to change something you like. If the copper are all enclosed you need to survey your replacement unit can reuse back the old copper piping.

So meaning that the temp cannot go high at 27 bcos 27 is fast reach temp so the aircond work for example 30 minit to reach 27 then off..then on back when temp exceed 27...if 25@24 aircond work more letsay 60min b4 off then on back for 60min when the temp exceed..so the constant switch on saving electric a bit since less on/off (which more consuming energy when switch on) and extend compresor motor life..source: read from oversea blog, forgot to save address jz now...so does it make sense???..

Usually my room activity is quite low but minimum will have 2 LED switched on at the sensor. Usually is the middle and the right one. Whether I'm in the room or not, after 3 hours of operation, the air-cond simply blows out warm air. vmad.gif

Requirement:
- Low on electricty (Not sure what is the normal, and what is consider low)
- Easy to maintain (Able to clean dust by myself)
- No preferences on brand
- Not so expensive, perhaps mid-range

Any suggestions sifus?

Low electricity then choose over inverter will do.

Easy maintenance without screw out from the casing then choose Mitsubishi electric will help.

Wanna cheap then look some china made should pay for worth.
