Very true... Plus, I have other commitment. So hobby will be put aside for a while.
2 keyboard for a pair of hand, and more than you need earphone, headphone and audio source for a pair of ears. laugh.gif

This is the part when people ask, "Why need more than one keyboard/ headphone/ earphone/ audio source when they are expensive." brows.gif

Although 2 keyboards for a pair of hand but my computer need keyboard ma..
Too many computers, so need more keyboards.
Not me need keyboard, computer need it. biggrin.gif
Although I know, got software that can share to all network-linked with only 1 keyboard. tongue.gif

One of the oldest mechanical keyboard brands out there, + it is a Japanese brand and OEMed by decent Taiwan OEM.

Its the best out there. The MJ2 has double sided pcb and the through holes are soldered all the way through and the pads are anchored on both sides. http://www.diatec.co.jp/en/det.php?prod_c=757
I think the pcb is also thicker which might give a different more solid feel. I'm curious to see how the keycool stacks up.

Though, contrary to that, most ppl actually believe that gen 1, particularly blue switch is better to type on than gen2.

Also, F-104 also through hole copper plate design yo. brows.gif

There are exceptions but there seems to be this misconception that because something is made by costar (eg Rosewill/CM) its got to be the same quality as a Filco.

What do you think of other brands quality?
Like mainstream ducky, corsair etc?
Don't worry, I'm not Ducky fan boy. You may bash Ducky as much as you can too.
Just want to know the honest answer from senior here. biggrin.gif

Ducky Shine 3 and 2018S pcb should be same base as F104.
They are good.
Ducky Shine 2 / 9008 base come afterwards

If distributed to ranking for quality? ignore backlit or non-backlit. For keyboard brand, not include custom.
1. Filco
2.
3.
4.
5.

Plate mounted keyboards makes your keyboard feel more solid, increases its weight and more stable to type on. The negatives of a plate mounted keyboard is it may have 'pinging' sounds.

Mechanical keyboards are gonna last a much longer time - compared to rubber domes. For me (excluding topre, IBM M model and other relics) its probably Filco followed by CM, not sure what comes next.

You should be more concerned with price, layout, mxswitch etc.

Yes, Razer focuses more on marketing so called gaming-features (most of which are completely unnecessary) to gamers, rather than making good solid products.

That said, I use a DA and it is awesome

Thats the thing. The design is similar but not the same, maybe the pcb is thinner and the solder pad only on one side so even if the qc is very good, the product won't be as good as the Filco.

Razer mouse still very nice... I bought their Mamba 2012. But I already remove the rubber coat layer on the mouse. No play games also.
For their keyboard, really look ugly(sorry, fan boy). Overkill backlit system. Too much light, dunno for what. sweat.gif

Dunno if this the correct place to ask, but my 1.5 years Xarmor mec keyboard starting to have chattering / repeated characters in C V B W and backspace and yeah, it's very annoying, just writing this alone needs alot of corrections.

I've tried taking out and cleaning the switch with no success, any tips? Also is it possible to sell some parts of this keyboard? Like keycap or the "still okay" blue switches? Thanks in advance smile.gif
