Compact layout will be Tenkeyless layout, Tenkey layout and 60% layout.
Depending on your preference on which layout u like or easy to get used to nod.gif .
There's some recommendation stated on the first page, u can check them out. If u have any doubt u can always post here for discussion.

Dunno if this the correct place to ask, but my 1.5 years Xarmor mec keyboard starting to have chattering / repeated characters in C V B W and backspace and yeah, it's very annoying, just writing this alone needs alot of corrections.

I've tried taking out and cleaning the switch with no success, any tips? Also is it possible to sell some parts of this keyboard? Like keycap or the "still okay" blue switches? Thanks in advance smile.gif

If you don't press that 4 keys then will not automatically repeat, right?
Only when press? Maybe same like what you think, over the years the keys get stuck with dirty.

Wait some sifu from this forum come and verify your case.

p/s: I'm care-le-fare in this thread, not sifu.. You may call me "keh leh feh" too for better pronounciation. biggrin.gif

When I asked it was the ducky zero tkl. I think I first saw it on the Cyntrix facebook page (which said RM250 any switch colour)
but I can't find it now. They said they couldn't guarantee the price until it ships, so I didn't bother and looked up China brand keyboards.

hmm...the only time i experience automatic double tapping is with my keycool 87.
i replaced the switch altogether and it doesn't happen to me anymore.
but sometimes there's double tapping happening on my E and H key if i recall correctly.
i suspect it could be poor switch build.
if it's possible, try swapping the C V B W switch with other rarely use keys (Insert, Scroll Lock, Print Screen, Pause, etc...)
that would mean having to open up the case and desolder the switches and soldering it back.
i assume it's out of warranty.
if u're staying in kl, some abangs here can probably help u do it with a small fee tongue.gif

You don't earn much from switches harvesting.

Locally, only few ppl actually DIY and utilize switches, and they (including me) already having quite lots of spare switches yet to be used, LOL.

Again, rather than dumb the whole keyboard, why don't you fix those few failing switches? Easier and cheaper.

Not sure, but may be you can prepare your own switches (can buy from taobao) and later go KL find ppl to fix for you?

BTW, since you are in China, there are a lot other interesting choices of chinaboards.

Also, since you are using i-One board, you may be interested to get a set of KBC doubleshot PBT RGB modifiers.

it will increase as you get shorter actuation time, and better comfort, with a durable keyboard "tough as nails"
