QUOTE(antonio @ Dec 6 2013, 03:35 PM) There must be a big reason why Corsair cant change to standard layout....OEM cost? PCB already printed? Keycaps already ordered maybe.... its not like susah sangat nak buat, but if planning have been done eons ago, maybe initial production has already started... Their OEM known to use their own weird 1.5,1 and 1.25 mix modifiers, not sure why.and from his reply, itu corsair rep cuba lari topik But then, since this new RGB MX require RGB led to surface mounted on the PCB, they might need new OEM for that? |

QUOTE(diaBoliQu3 @ Dec 6 2013, 03:39 PM) I suspect the same thing. Contract with PCB maker perhaps? But I think its involving cost. Yeah, Corsair seems like didn't get what end user want. Or he answer them like that intentionally. If on fulfilling what user wants, I think chinabrands like KBC, PLUM or even keycool are the closest one. They even care about the modability of their keyboards which mostly only non-mainstream keyboarders like us care.On international level, I will say CM is the one. They spamming out lines and lines of products made by different oem, with different layout and now even to the extend of putting topre switches. No other players did like them. QUOTE(hmwgbworld @ Dec 6 2013, 05:44 PM) Yup, We even see CM representative reply at Newegg feedbacks as long as theres any defective product or bad comments. Long long ago the first approach i know about CM is cooling stuff. Now they really serious about peripherals stuff also, The sad things about them is they included too much gimmicks + the over design and also over branding. Those kept most of us away... |

QUOTE(imbibug @ Dec 6 2013, 06:05 PM) What were the gimmicky parts/over design that you don't like about the CM keyboards? And the branding logos on their kb isn't that bad, just 2 logos (one on the side) I think. So far, no other models beaten this yoh!!!What I kept me away was the reports of the keys like the alt key in the lower left quadrant dying. I think they changed their oem for the newer tk model. https://www.google.com/search?q=cm+quickfir...0&bih=752&dpr=1 But luckily, they had fix it partially by reducing it in new batches. But again, their rubber coating... Not to mention their new board like the mech... Over design level over 9000. I don't think they had changed their OEM for TK. Cause their newer boards like mech still under the same OEM. A new OEM normally will accompanied with a change in the modifiers layout or even stabilizers types. @above
Try remove the spacebar keycap and reseat it and see if it solve/improve it. Try it several times. Even better, try to lube the stabilisers (but since yours are stucky to the extend of "lagging", i doubt it will help much). The worse, RMA it. |

Remove the two adjacent ALT keys with keypuller first.
Later, use your both hands' fingers to lift from both sides evenly. This post has been edited by Human10: Dec 7 2013, 01:08 AM |

QUOTE(imbibug @ Dec 7 2013, 10:54 AM) Ok thats 4 logos if we don't count the win keys but at least they aren't too obtrusive on a matte surface except for the red-black version. I think that CM/Corsair are less interested in making plain jane looking keyboards since they are gaming brands anyhow and their intended customers probably don't mind the garish logos and non-standard keycap sizes. I think mechanicals for gaming companies are just a way of creating a more lucrative product line without any real benefit for gamers anyway. Modders are just a small proportion of users and will never be able to dictate to those companies on what their designs should be like. One at the rear side of the case, one between Esc and F1, one above cursors, one on spacebar, another 2 on win-keys and lastly, another 2 on the extra keycaps. I believe no others beaten this yet. What was the cause of the QFR problem? was it the pcb itself like the traces/soldering or was it lack of proper support (bending) on that side of the keyboard? Too much logo will make it looks like we are advertising for them... But also, like I stated, CM somehow still seems to the keyboarders community. They sell clean non-branded case for QFR separately just because too much ppl complaining bout the over-branding. And they are the only gaming brands out there to come out with numerous layout and models, unlike others who ask you to accept whatever they throw at you. BTW, what QFR problem you toking bout? So far, I hadn't heard of QFR specific issue? This post has been edited by Human10: Dec 7 2013, 11:20 AM |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Dec 7 2013, 06:31 PM) ![]() Tesoro intros new mechanical keyboard with full color. http://www.tomshardware.com/news/tesoro-lo...ical,25219.html Yet another iOne made board? Nothing revolutionary here. I only wondering how the thing change the backlit color. And the claim if 10M presses instead of the normal 50M. |
