Rm3399 for what size of car?  To be frank i nvr heard abt this brand, other OEM brand also charge 1k+ to 2k+ depends on car size.

If paying over  3k i would suggest get from those branded.

Maybe waiting other sifu's comment if they ever used this brand

Mid size, thats why I am asking other SIFU here as well. I am trying to check the IRR as well. If its 99% I think worth trying. Because G Guard is famous for their PPF also, many supercar did their PPF so I consider to do it together with their package along the tinted.

You need to take many of these 99% IRR claims with a pinch of salt, especially for lighter VLT, as they’re likely measured against a very narrow spectrum, usually just 900nm - 1000nm. If you take a more realistic range, for example 900nm - 1400nm (the spectrum that makes your skin burn) or 700nm - 1700nm (the spectrum that cooks your seats and dashboard), there’s likely no solar film in the market lighter than 40% VLT that can reach such high IRR numbers

Edit:
See here – https://gguard.com.my/wp-content/uploads/20...-Poster2022.pdf
If these specs are to be believed, only their darker VLT will reach such high 96-98% IRR along narrow and wider spectrums. Your JPJ approved VLT70 front windscreen tint will never achieve those IRR values.

Won't TSER be a better measuring tool against other brands ?

some of the claimed TSER are too good to be true, can rival or even better than PhotoSync IRD.

I would say take the listed spec with a grain of salt. OEM can claim anything and most failed when really tested.

Established branded tints specs baru can trust a bit. Some tints TSER actually worked as claimed but 2nd year, 3rd year, the effectiveness dropped like rocks.

So if you really only looking at specs to decide, then go for established brands but those comes with more premium pricing.

Many tints compared to VKool...but VKool worked as listed and last really long with minimal drop in effectiveness over the years. That is established brand for you. Of course if the VKool used are not fake. Many fake out there.

I also now looking at alternative for my 2 old cars and pending 1 new car coz the prefered VKool are now price so high, I really cannot afford.

Considering front tint used VKool Elite coz VLT is good, TSER worked, last really long (effectiveness) and Smart tag worked. Then the rest used others.

Now considering IRISPro, don't know smart tag can work or not, if not, really have to consider tinting VKool Elite in FWS coz that garantee to smart tag friendly and TSER worked. Rarely does a tint comes with 10 years warranty and 10 years performance warranty (the first i heard). It is one of the the rare few that listed the nm used for reference test although don't know what is that..hahahaha.

Tempted to try coz price more premium than budget but definitely way below VK. Now still budgeting and dragging it out.

Smart tag use Infrared as signal. U take Tint with 97-99% IRR, sure it struggling to work or basically not working. Based on own experience, 95% IRR the max in order for Tag to work, 90% IRR ok.

I think it depends on what wavelengths are being blocked and whether the SmartTag reader uses those particular wavelengths. Some >96% tints still allow the signal to pass due to a certain spectrum containing that particular wavelength not being strongly blocked.

Over 15 years ago, no VKool Elite. All use the true flagship VKool 70. Smart tag cannot pass. Then they start using VKool euro spec 75 for FWS. That one can work for smart tag but with noticeable lesser TSER. Then they come out with VKool Elite package which I believe is VKool 75. At that time, the FWS is using VKool 75 and the rest VKool 70 for elite package. Confirmed by my installer that I know then. Now I not sure if the side and rear screen called Elite are using VKool 75 or maintained the original VKool 70.

My old cars that has elite lasted over 15 years up to now garanteed using VKool 70. So I'm a fan of VKool Elite for durability and effectiveness. The FWS tho are likely still 75 coz smart tag can pass. Unfortunately after 15 years, the tint start to blur liao. So no choice but to plan for change but dragging due to cost. Still want to use premium tint tho coz driving for around 4 hours daily commuting, good tint is a godsend especially for car dash, cushion protection.

So although Elite is not so elite, its a proven best clear tint with long history of lasting effectiveness. Darn the super premium price.

Even for Photosync IRD there are testers from overseas forums who claim the numbers are too good to be true and just don’t add up, so we really shouldn’t simply believe any manufacturer 100%. Really hard to verify every make of tint unless all manufacturers agree to send to the same independent body for testing one day. sweat.gif
