Also looking up a budget with decent quality car tint for my old Persona 2010.

Also, advice for one which budget below RM1.5k and place near Kajang or Bangi.

Appreciate for your recommendation. Thank you

Thanks for all the replies. Planning to install V-Kool 30 on all sides of windows of my car. Not sure if 30 is too low and Smarttag & waze is not able to go through. Any thoughts?

I just came across this too and the price seems so interesting. Apparently the shop offering this package is a reputable shop who is an authorised dealer for V-Kool in Belakong.

Still thinking if genuine or not

Anyone has any experience adding another layer to the perodua AV model that come with factory tint?

I want it to be good at workmanship to prevent bubble.

What tint you are using and how many years already?

Not sure want to redo the whole thing.

Hi guys,

I was offered with Iris Pro - Diamond 30 vs VKool Elite and they (the shop) claimed that IrisPro Diamond 30 is superior than VKool - Elite.

Iris Pro - Diamond 30
Price: 3.3k
Warranty: 10 years

VKool - Elite
Price: 3.6k
Warranty: 5 years

Also, offered with mixture of VKool Elite for windscreen and front door and IrisPro at rear seat. Price approx. 3k.

What do you guys think?

Same here!! IrisPro seems be leading the tinting game, but it has high VLR
(Bang for buck) IrisPro tints has high VLR16+ (Visible light reflectance)
if getting a slight mirror effect (inside&out) is a concern.. best opt for tints below <10 VLR (Vkool, 3M, etc)

Multi-layer sputtering <-- Considered the best tint material (metallic element, may affect phones/smarttag.. or just use RFID lah bro)

(From best grade to lowest grade)
Multi-layer (metallic + others)
Sputter (metallic)
Ceramic
Carbon
Metallized
Dyed film

Just sharing information.. feel free to counter-check my details icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

ps: anyone have reviews of SolarGard? (apparent a dupe/ subsidary of Vkool brand, and I was hardcore sold by the shop) quoted at 4.2K LX Series Multi-layer sputter VLR 5-8%

spec wise maybe good, but the price is almost similar to V-Kool is kinda weird for a local brand. 3M Crystalline with 97% IRR, rm2k for the sedan from one of sellers in lowyat, not sure if now price has increase already.
multi-layer sputtering, use it now, yes it work great for heat rejection. However, it shall depend on spec, IRR, TSER. Based on experience, IRR99% work great on my car.

Anyone knows is there a way to remove these 3M marks on the tint itself?

Just wipe it with hand sanitizer or nail polish remover, etc. It is very easy to wipe off.

Using VKool V40 here.
Waze on my iPhone X not much issue, but GPS signal for my Thinkware F800Pro dashcam take about 5-10 minutes and maybe longer before it can lock the signal
But SmartTag, have to really slow-down or can't detect at all

Thanks. I will try. I just worry the alcohol component would damage the tint.

Anyone have experience with Huper Optik tints? Are they better at heat rejection compared to V Kool? I am asking as I see quite a number of ppl here have problems with GPS and Smarttag with V Kool.

No worries. It wouldn't damage the tint. But don't rub so hard physically. It should come off fairly easily.

I got quoted by NVK Interior PJ for V-kool:
- Front Windscreen: V-Kool Elite
- Side Windows: V-Kool Premier
- Tailgate Window: V-Kool 30

Car: Toyota Corolla Cross

Price: RM5,000

Is this normal?
