*

Just did Raytech QC series for the whole car. Should be a good price given what I was quoted in another site. PM lord Gitsy for details. biggrin.gif

Tint is no vkool but for the price paid, it's acceptable so far.
*
Mind sharing how much it cost for the Raytech QC for your car?

QUOTE(bl0om @ Jul 17 2018, 11:27 AM)
Seems that they can't give me that price. Don't know which dealer give him that price.
*
I heard the Raytech dealer in Puchong is quite competitive.

PM lord Gitsy for contacts. He can provide you a competitive price. smile.gif

I've found from reading here that Raytech pricing can vary quite a bit depending on the installer. And personally I don't like everything hidden behind PM.

Point of this forum is to share info so that all readers can compare and benefit.

Anyway, for Raytech QC I've seen it quoted for RM1,450 for standard car.

Hi guys, looking for tinting that won't break the bank with good heat rejection. Air-cool quoted me whole car (proton iriz) with 5 years warranty rm800. Not sure what kind of tint tho... Any advice? I'm from Penang.
*
It's always a good idea to get the model of the tint and look at the specs. Otherwise, really no idea what you are getting.

With the specs at least you can compare the performance and decide what tint you want.

Around RM800 you can also consider Raytech FC series, can find the specs on their website.

U mean QX Series for RM1450? Are u sure?
*
No, I mean QC series, which is the normal 2 mil tint film. QX is the security film.

Hi Sifu here, just get my new car and need some advise , is it any recommended tinted below rm1000 for whole car ?
*
You can get tint below RM1000 but of course don't expect performance to be as good as the more expensive films.

the huper optik from puchong quote me 1800 for c70/c40. but other branch and hq quote me 2550 for the same. want to ask is the puchong one reliable and trusted?
*
I know some members of the Tiguan Club who recommend the Puchong installer. And it is also listed on Huper Optik's website, so it's an authorised installer.

U can also try the Huper Optik dealer in Sea Park PJ. I heard they can offer around 2000 for Sech 60/C40 combo.

Does raytech ultra 70 is smart tag friendly? How does it compare to vkool elite?
*
I'm using the ultra 70 in one of my cars. No problem with smart tag.

Which is a better choice guys & girls:

3M (Official 3M Dealer)
Crystalline 70 (Front)
Crystalline SCR 40 (Sides)
Crystalline 40 (Rear)
RM2,400

or

Raytech (SA Panel Promo Price)
M70 (Front)
MX/MX Black (Sides)
MC/MC Black (Rear)
RM2,400

Appreciate the advise guys!
*
Between those 2, I would choose 3M.

I also feel that Raytech combo has been quoted too high (some more so called SA Panel Promo Price). If you go outside direct to a Raytech dealer it should be much less.

To be comparable in performance, from Raytech it should be the RC/RX series which will be 2k+.

I'm using RX previously and I can say it ain't top performance at all. Feels like oven and very uncomfortable to drive in the afternoon.

It left a very bitter taste for me after all those impressive paper tser spec.  Ain't recommending it to my family or friends.
*
Did you get your film tested to see if it meets the heat rejection? I think you can bring it back to Raytech for this testing. If performance has deteriorated a lot then claim the warranty.

I'm using Raytech RC in one of my cars and so far it is performing ok. For me driving in afternoon does not feel like oven or very uncomfortable.

3M SS2 PJ quote me RM2600 for the same spec you got. Why is the price tag difference? The sales girl told me the given price is the cost price already. Haihhhh
*
Biasa-lah, different dealers can quote different price (this applies not only to 3M but other brands too). That's why have to shop around to ask.

You must be driving some expensive car that comes with some heat rejection glass already. Mine doesn't come with it, u can feel the difference. I know cause I was using Raytech, then i switched over to HO.
*
The Raytech film is installed in my VW. Don't know if you call that an "expensive car" but I don't think it has any heat rejection glass.

I was curious if you tested it, just to see if the film lived up to its claims. If tested then you have more solid evidence to talk about the performance (or non-performance) of the film. Anyway, at least you found a satisfatory film in Huper Optik.

That's the full list price I think. What's the actual price that they quoted to you? Then we will know the price range you're looking for.

1k with 500 voucher from Honda
*
For around 1k price, another one you can consider is Raytech FX series: http://raytechfilms.com.my/automobile-film...ar-control-film

For mid size sedan can get for RM800-900 I think.

V-Kool REM Safety 5mil, 5MI safety films, TSER 52%, IRR 90%

Where do you get this spec?
*
If he was referring to REM 40 Safety (which he did not say), then the TSER 52% is same as on the Tint Shop webpage right?

But dunno where he got the IRR 90% because IRR is not listed on the Tint Shop webpage.

Front windscreen, IRR80 sufficient? Do u think it's sufficient?

Thanks

Since the front windscreen is where the most heat comes in, pick the best tint you can afford. Don't only look at IRR, look at TSER.

What is ur recommendations? IRR and TSER?
*
Get the highest IRR and TSER within your budget. Look at the films from the major brands like 3M, Raytech, VKool, Huper Optik. Haverkamp also.
