Normally well know brands like Vkool, 3M, Llumar, Huper-Optik,etc start from 2k for small saloon car

Between Top Range & Mid Range Got Lots Of Differences?

Just installed Huper Optik C70 (Front), and the rest all C40 on my 2018 Perodua Myvi at Breyton Penang. First impression about the heat rejection is really good.

RM1850 for C70 (Front) + C40 (The rest). 5 years warranty. Be reminded that my passenger and driver side window isn't JPJ compliant, you can go for C70 + C50 if you want to be safe.

For C70 + C50 is like RM1650 if I'm not mistaken, originally wanted C50 then went to the shop and saw C40 then suddenly decided to get the C40.

C30 will be too much or not?

Got quote for 2.2K by HO Puchong (SmartTinted).. feint with that price.. almost equivalent to 3M price.. helpless

A colleague has had his car tinted with a considerably darker shade for the front windscreen as he took the risk. I'm not sure what is the VLT but perhaps in the range of 50% to 40% VLT. His car was stopped by JPJ twice. I'm not too sure what's the story but until today the tint still remains as it is today.

will it be stupid to tint segment A car

Have you try to change new battery? Its weird that Ceramic 70 cant go through Smart Tag unless they install Sech 60 for you

Raytech films come with photochromic

he let me test HO tint and nova or nano under heat lamp....it seems the one he recommend is better in terms of heat rejection.

For forumer sake, I need to update on my situation above.

After 1 week of usage on HO C70 tint which failed at Smart Tag lanes 90% of the time (even after changing to new Energizer batteries). I can't take it anymore and I returned to the installer, who is also as puzzled as me how come HO Ceramic Tint main selling point is for its Smart Tag/electronic friendly characteristic compared to metallic based tint such as VKool. To be fair, only Smart Tag signal was blocked, autogate/condo RFID boom gate/ Phone GPS all works fine.

I took out the HO tint after 1 week usage, though my heart ache like mad as the tint was done perfectly with good workmanship and I got use to the color hue, but had to take it out due to the inconveniences of having to wind down my car window every time I pass the toll. I went back to the installer and claim warranty, they took out the tint, and I top up money to install VKool Elite, as I don't want to take any more chances with HO tint anymore.

VKool works fine with Smart Tag now, but autogate/condo RFID signal got blocked. Well, there is no perfect world I guess. Still like the color hue of VKool, greenish, very pleasing to the eyes.

U70 means front windscreen film with 97% heat rejection.
MC is solar film for sides and back with 85% heat rejection
