QUOTE(d_scientist @ Jul 25 2014, 01:03 PM) Hi guys... getting my accord 2.0. SA offered me rm1788.00 of wingard, 4 mil metro tint. I think it's not good. So want some advice on what tint I shld get. Most important for me is cool car, gps, smart tag and house card must work Go for the top brands mentioned in the Topic title, you can't go wrong. I myself have experienced two out of the four mentioned and I would recommend 3M Crystalline 60 (FWS) and 40 (rear & side). Downside is Smart Tag which may have problem going thru. The workaround is to utilize the top portion (normally 6") black tint using their Color Stable range CS5 (5% VLT). In this way, your warranty still all under 3M

QUOTE(Lord Gitsy @ Jul 31 2014, 12:18 AM) That is reasonable price for removing my existing tinted. It depends how many windows you wish to remove and cleaning. Rm200 is normal price for professional tinted shop. Sometimes, they offer cheaper during promotion period, maybe RM100 or cheaper. Actually, Raytech offer FREE remove existing tinted film and windows cleaning for whole car when you purchase certain Raytech products.

what I understand is, when you install 3M film...there is some kind of small 3M watermark logo on the film, they will wipe it off after installation. You can chk first before they cut the film.

hi everyone, my car was tinted with Huper Optik on 1 August (11 days ago). when i washed it yesterday i noticed small, single bubbles in different spots in the tint film. when i called my tint shop they said to wait for a month plus before going back to check because they claim the film hasn't fully dried yet and the bubbles may go away. they also said i can use a credit card to flatten the bubbles. so i wanted to ask from your own experience whether this is true or i'm being conned. and if the bubbles are still there after a month, should i ask them to redo the whole tint? or are small bubbles generally unavoidable? appreciate the help

A responsible installer will replace it if confirm the bubble is permanent. I dont think you are being conned - Huper Optik is a good brand and their authorised dealers are listed in the website. Can PM me where you do and how much for what car? I am also considering but may choose Raytech instead for higher TSER. This post has been edited by enochtan3668: Aug 11 2014, 01:16 PM

If the bubbles are like white milky color (water vapor form), then they are very likely to dry up after few days-weeks time. Allow sometime for them to dry up I do not recommend you to fix the problems yourself using a credit card because the laminating layer is already semi dried, you might make it worse if you do not have the necessary skills. Hope it helps. Cheers This post has been edited by Lord Gitsy: Aug 13 2014, 11:35 PM

You can chk first before they cut the film. This is one of the way to check for original 3M product. And we will only wipe it off in front of the customer after our customer satisfied with the installation done. To be safe it is always better to go for 3M authorized applicator to get your 3M solar film.
