QUOTE(emonemo @ Aug 11 2014, 01:09 PM) hi everyone, It should be bubble-free. A responsible installer will replace it if confirm the bubble is permanent. I dont think you are being conned - Huper Optik is a good brand and their authorised dealers are listed in the website.my car was tinted with Huper Optik on 1 August (11 days ago). when i washed it yesterday i noticed small, single bubbles in different spots in the tint film. when i called my tint shop they said to wait for a month plus before going back to check because they claim the film hasn't fully dried yet and the bubbles may go away. they also said i can use a credit card to flatten the bubbles. so i wanted to ask from your own experience whether this is true or i'm being conned. and if the bubbles are still there after a month, should i ask them to redo the whole tint? or are small bubbles generally unavoidable? appreciate the help Can PM me where you do and how much for what car? I am also considering but may choose Raytech instead for higher TSER. This post has been edited by enochtan3668: Aug 11 2014, 01:16 PM |

QUOTE(billysiah @ Aug 11 2014, 04:59 PM) Front windscreen need to be min 70% VLT compliant with JPJ and this is including default tinting done by manufacturer. Based on review here, so far the popular choices such 3M, Raytech and Huper Optik seems ok with heat rejection although the FWS is usually only 70% VLT while the sides range from 50% to 60%+. Some even do 40% VLT. |

QUOTE(vknight @ Aug 24 2014, 11:00 PM) Will the TSER for different type of films such as below provide different heat rejection: Personally, I will stay away from dyed films and metalised films. The former may be just colour and will fade soon enough and the latter is said to interfere with some transmission for your in-car gadgets.Dyed or Colored Films Sputtered (Metalized) Films Hybrid Films Ceramic Films For example, Lets say all above type having same TSER of 50 (for discussion sake only). Will one type provide a better heat rejection compared to the other? Thanks in advance. |

I noticed that when I wear polarised sun shades, the windscreen of other vehicles turn shades of purple, blue, green and yellow. Is this normal? Because the red spectrum colour has been filtered hence the polarised shades are spanning out the spectrum of light colours except red?

QUOTE(apisgogo @ Aug 25 2014, 08:01 PM) Guys, I was really interested with HO but when comparing TSER, it's not very high compared with other brands, even diff by 10%. Anybody used HO, Raytech and 3M before can comment on the experiential effect of TSER differences between these 3?Im a user of Huper Optik and been satisfied with the performance. I wonder is there any other tint brand that have better heat rejection? Looking to install on my new ride. |
