heard sa said that cx5 couldnt be tinted with security film more than 4 mills?
due to the window glass is tight fit to the rubber, there will be problem if using higher thickness of security film.......
is anybody tried?

Do u find the V97 for the front is too dark? Comparing between ultra 70 n V97 but worry that the v97 is not JPJ compliant.

Btw, is your v97 smart tag friendly?

Hi guys, I just got my car tinted today. But there's too many small bubbles on the driver's door window.. I asked the guy in the shop about it and he said its normal and it will go away after 1-2 weeks

My question is, is this normal?? Will all the small bubbles go away?? rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
My concern is because the other 3 windows + the back window is perfectly done, and there's no or very little bubbles..

Can anybody here confirm me that the bubbles will go away after 1 week??
*
Normally If the small bubbles can not go away within 3-4 days, you just drive the car back to the tinting shop request for warranty claim.
I think they will do for you.

That's is normal, we call it as curing period
Refer here statement No.10 http://www.iwfa.com/MemberInfo/MemberResea...tyStandard.aspx

2Mil it take 7-14 days
Up to 4Mil it take 30 days
4Mil to 8Mil it take 60 days

My advise is expose your car to sunlight as much as possible to speed up the curing period~

Anyone know the best security film + dark solar film ?

Which brand is better as well ?

I am looking for the darkest certified and will not get stop by traffic police

is it 50% or 40% ? how bout security film ? 3mil or 4mil or 5mil ?

I know that some companies offer you warranty as in if you are caught by police , you can claim from them but seriously i do not have that time to do that like i own a rich company or someething.

My friend had dark and not certified films and most of time get caught at KL highway to JB almost everytime

unless you are a VIP of some company or something

I saw the boss of lavender bread 's car 100% black and security film rated more than 6mil i think , it is also bullet proof stated on the corner sleep.gif

No, you can not combine the film in this way, you will lose the safety function. The safety film is come with special adhesive to strong hold on the glass. The first layer must be safety film.

Senario 1 :
Glass | (1) Solar Film | (2) Safety Film = No safety function

Senario 2 :
Glass | (1) Safety Film | (2) Solar Film = Got safety function.

By the way, safety film is not suitable to tint for front and rear windscreen. if you think your existing film is good, what you need to do is just change the all side windows to safety film, remain the front and rear windscreen film.

To compliant with JPJ rules.

Front Windscreen : VLT > 70%
The rest of windows : VLT >50%

The darkest tint you can choose is VLT : 55%, after install on your window glass, I think the VLT will become 50%-52%.
Meaning is not dark at all.

Done my new Kia Cerato tint at Raytech branch in Cheras today and as promised, here is my feedback/testimonial.

Second time sending my car to Raytech and I am satisfied overall. My SA actually offered me Huper Optik and Vesolar but we weren't interested in it. Wife and I are pretty happy with our Cruze which was tinted by Raytech previously.

Called Lord Gitsy a.k.a Sean the night before and he was kind enough to slot me in for the earliest spot today despite the late arrangement notworthy.gif

@Lord Gitsy was patient in answering all the questions thrown to him by my wife today. Wife wanted assurance on getting a good rejection tint with safety thumbup.gif Besides that, he also took time to do a lot of explanations on what's the difference between house brand films and USA films. It's good info and very professional, he knows his stuffs laugh.gif

Overall 10/10 service and workmanship looks good.

Highly recommended Raytech... Keep up the good work thumbup.gif

oh man, what a waste then..

sad.gif

next question, i think my existing tint is dark, around VLT : 55%.
i don't know if it's me or what..
i feel the weather is killing me lately..

my tint is just less than a year old..
i'm thinking of overlaying them with another, higher protection etc.

possible?

You can add another layer of tint on the existing tint but the product warranty will void for both

Bro, why not you keep the front and back windscreen, change the 4 side windows to safety with high heat rejection.
If you feel is hot if existing film. Chang the front windscreen film also.

Another idea is tint 2nd layer solar film on top of existing film. But both product warranty will void.
