question: does putting double tint does reduce the heat tremendously ? say first layer is 50% TSER and if i put second layer which is 60% TSER, would it help to reduce the heat?

Yes bro, double tint can reduce the heat. The reason is double tint will lower the VLT and make the tint darker. Lower VLT can help reduce the heat, but need to make sure the VLT is compliance JPJ smile.gif

The warranty for double layer will void as well.
Well if lets say

V-Kool Elite (1st Layer)

VLT 70%
IRR 94%
TSER 55%

V-Kool 55/40 (2nd Layer)

VLT 58/42%
IRR 96/98%
TSER 60/65%

The above setup still JPJ compliance.
Perhaps it will increase the TSER by 10-20% depends on the film performance.

Hi bro, I would say it will be estimated can reduce more 10-30% of heat if applying second layer tint with TSER above. It need to depend the darkness of the both layer tints too. Hard to estimate a exact %. If possible, you are welcome to visit our shop, we can test the % of heat reduce for both layer by using the BTU meter, Cheers bro smile.gif

Guys need your opinion.

Thinking of tinting my car as the original tint from my proton inspira already has bubbles.

My question is i went to a shop and they said that they can remove the rear tint but cannot maintain the rear de mister on the rear window??

Is it true??

Llumar diamond for me 2.4k only for
Mazda 3. U get expensive quote

Hi guys.

I installed a 6mm tint. Normally when I wind up and down its damn smooth and no noise.

Today after I wash my car, I wind it down and when going up it squeals loudly and the window is wet. Presumably some water is inside the car door. Anyone have the same issue? I feel like my window motor won't last long lol

Hi bro, normally tinted shop can't guarantee maintain the rear demister on rear window if want to remove the tinted, they will inform u clearly before wanna remove the tinted. The adhesive of the tint may stick tightly with rear demister, when pull down the old tinted will spoil the rear demister.
Sometimes the technician can remove the old tinted without spoil the rear demister. It is depend on the strength of the adhesive on the old tinted and the skill of technician. smile.gif

Correction is 6Mil not 6MM.

Perhaps should wait the window completely dry up and try again.
If problem persist means you have to go back service center.

It always happen when owner install with low grade windows film especially those infra red film.
Well back to your question, its always 50% vs 50% chances. There are 2 process might cause the
demister line to peel off from rear windscreen.

1. During the removal.
2. After removal, the cleaning process with shampoo.

Anyways, if you have cover with insurance then it should be ok to replace the rear windscreen in case
the demister is spoiled. Do PM me if you want to know more details.
