Hello all, thanks for the recommendation given. Wife and i decided to get the LENOVO S410p, the I7 4500U,  Nvidia GT720M 2GB with 8GB RAM together with Windows 8.1 for RM2350 along with the usual Laptop bundle, a rucksack laptop bag and a Yes4g Doogle with RM50 Credit.

The laptop weigh at 2.1 Kilo is fitting enough for her and she is quite happy with the overall performance of it.
Downside, i dont think that it has a HD display on it. Hahaha.

Grats on your purchase thumbup.gif

Noted and thanks, Nexus2238.

FYI, I did check through all the manuals and also google forums before asking. It's just that HP outlet is saying otherwise. Will go to another store and check it out again.

Can you search and read the manual yourself instead of waiting for people to spoon feed you?

1. Preferred Brand : Asus/Toshiba/Dell/ (mac?)/other reputable ones.
2. Budget: RM3k to 3.5k
3. Usage: light fb gaming, blu-ray movies, light photoshopping, uni presentation slides & documents etc
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 11 to 13

My brother had an Asus UX31A. It is pretty smooth and all but he said it lags when streaming videos on fullscreen (youtube). Playing videos using 3rd party program like VLC or windows media player works fine though.

Can anyone recommend/show me some options? smile.gif should i get a mac?

youtube streaming actually uses flash player, which is a CPU independent program. so a weak CPU is the normally the cause but as for your brother's case, its weird as the ULV CPU is enough to support 1080p streaming with flash players. i dont really suggest you to get Mac, since there are better ones in the market. by the way, is it necessary for you to have full HD screen? because those with full HD screens are kinda out of your budget.

Aspire S7-392-74504G12, i7-4500U + Intel HD4400 + 128GB SSD + (1920x1080; touch)@RM3999[1.3kg], 4GB, W8.1

Toshiba
Portégé Z930-2035, i5-3337U+ Intel HD4000 + 128GB SSD@RM3799, 6GB W8, 3 years

Don't think lags when streaming videos on Fullscreen has to do with the laptop, but rather the internet provider? hmm.gif
Anyways, I think an MBA13 will work just fine, provided you are ready/already know how to use Mac OSX nod.gif

1. Preferred Brand : Lenovo/ASUS/Dell. I would gladly take any other recommendations too, but I would prefer to not buy Acer laptops (sooo many lousy experiences with Acer)
2. Budget: 2.5k
3. Usage: Mostly light business-related work such as emails, writing extensive reports, perusing documents, etc. Also some video streaming and internet usage on the side.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 14 inch.
5. Weight: Around 2kg. I would be bringing this laptop around with me quite a bit, so ease of portability does factor in somewhat.
6. Would prefer at least 4GB memory.

Thanks!
