I noticed something weird just now. The CD player and the power window could be switched ON and functioning even without the key (after switched off the car and taken out the key). Is it weird or normal!!!

Hi guy, result is out. It was really cause by battery problem. What they said base that the batch of battery of Yokohama is totally suck. Now they have change to Delko and have resolve the problem. Yesterday I have manage to drive to Genting with no problem. At bottom I was driving around 60-70km and almost reaching the chinese temper I try to push a bit and drove around 90Km to 100km. So far is quite a smooth ride.

From my result here, there are actually a possible battery weak that not enough to supply to ECU during climbing hill for long time and stop. That also explain why there is insufficient power to create the log. According to SC, all Peugeot car ECU get resources from the battery. That the reason they check battery everything they service car.  Now my friend also have a 208 with the same problem, the ESP light only show once and that is the symptoms of battery weak.
So far I only go SC Chan Sow Lin.

My Delkor which they used to replace the 1st yokohama also died roughly 6 months, so keep your fingers crossed it doesn't die on you like it did mine.

normal

you can operate the player and windows without keys but ECU will cut off if it thinks you're going out of battery soon

Been driving this car since end January. Drove the KL-Johor route about 3 return trips already. Fantastic car. I love really love it. Overtake on highway also I just fiddle with the cruise control. Don't even need to tekan gas. (Is this actually advisable?)

However, the surroundings around my home is super dusty. 2 days in the porch and can see a layer of dust (my car is the blue one). Any advice on cleaning the dust? I don't wanna end up scratching the brand new car!

LOL, I totally agree with you about the driving experience on highway.
My experience was driving to cameron, slow down a bit because of a corner, a forte (was in my consideration before i buy 408t) tail gate me for no reason.
I let him pass and show him the power of the Lion, lol. It seems like after 170, the forte coupe is struggling.

By the way, about the dust, I usually rinse the car will tons of water before putting the soap. I took this advice from SerialGlow uncle tongue.gif

I use the same method. Hose down the car thoroughly before touching it for the wash.

I usually use a feather duster to dust off the dirt. Coz i sent my car for a good polishing by G'Zox. Can last for about 3-4 months the shine. And the dust is easy to brush off with a feather duster. If got dirt, like those rain stains, i just use a wet cloth to wipe it. Then the car look shinny.

Hi guys,

I realised that our car engine sound is rather loud when is left on idle (N). Is this a natural character of our engine?? When you leave it on "N" and u stand outside, the engine is really loud. Why is it so???

Thank you very much.

Agree with you. No matter what brand, they are no promising battery. It really depend on luck. After the warranty of the battery, I will look for better want.

It's the air con. At least for my car if the engine is running but the air con is off then it sounds quite normal like any other car.

I'm looking for the service centre near Nusa Bestari, Nusajaya there. Anyone has their phone number? Can't seem to locate it in their website.

EDIT: Never mind, I found it.
