pls clarify my queries..

1) I have problem with battery in my 3rd month after i gt the car..The SC said, its a normal
issue for 408, and then they changed to delta battery.
  - Do you guys experiencing the same?

2) The door locker.
I got the same reply. Normal for 408. Is it?

3) Horn
My lion is experiencing problem with the horn. Gonna meet the sc on my next service.

Just to relate an experience, Delkor battery died during CNY holiday second day. Peugeot care line quoted almost RM600 for replacement inclusive RM95 for labour!

Century battery did it at RM290

In other words. Genting trip with 408t is not possible? Peugeot Malaysia should address this issue to all owners.

How many person are in your car when up to Genting ?

Wow, it will be superb exp if I change the brake pads and discs together.
I need to re-calculate my expenses to make sure I got enough money to do such once the brake pads wear off.

normally just change brake pads only. and you change yr tyre ps 3 quite expensive lo.

If you get any sound during braking, do a visual inspection of the disc. If there are circular scratches on the surface,see the workshop.

Brake pads are mounted on it's shoe by metal studs. As the pads wear off the studs start perturbing. If left too long the metal studs tend to scratch deep circular groves on the disc. The workshop can tell you if the disc can be shimmed(surface polish) or need replacement.

Did you change to the same size tyres? The 408t's 225/45 is not really a common size for a 17". So it should be a bit expensive than the more common sizes taking into account same brand n model

Hi guy, result is out. It was really cause by battery problem. What they said base that the batch of battery of Yokohama is totally suck. Now they have change to Delko and have resolve the problem. Yesterday I have manage to drive to Genting with no problem. At bottom I was driving around 60-70km and almost reaching the chinese temper I try to push a bit and drove around 90Km to 100km. So far is quite a smooth ride.

From my result here, there are actually a possible battery weak that not enough to supply to ECU during climbing hill for long time and stop. That also explain why there is insufficient power to create the log. According to SC, all Peugeot car ECU get resources from the battery. That the reason they check battery everything they service car.  Now my friend also have a 208 with the same problem, the ESP light only show once and that is the symptoms of battery weak.
So far I only go SC Chan Sow Lin.

Done 40k service at glenmarie today..

Total damage RM570.50

Normal service including changing of pollen filter..

Then they said my brake pad almost finish left about 40% and they quoted me RM616.25 per pair.. I was like huh..??

Can I know:

1. How much it cost outside for brake pad?

2. Where can we get it outside?

I can't speak for others but my 2.0 not even 2 year old has changed battery 3 times. 1st one died after 3 months or so, 2nd one died a little over 1 year (close to 13 months). 1st and second courtesy of Nasim. 1st was a french brand and second was Korean Delkor. Now having a 3 month old Centurybattery and i am still monitoring the lifespan. The only sign ----harder a bit to start car

Regarding about the changing battery, I do ask the SC in CSL technician. He actually is the head of technician. He said not much skill required, just make sure the right voltage are input else the circuit board will blow away and it cost RM300++. There no need to turn on the engine while changing battery (Yes is true, cause I see him change my battery). The only thing which not running well is the date and time, this can be done by reset back the time. (Please check your manual on reset the time). Other work as normal. Peugeot create this gimmick is just for $$.

Regarding about the battery brand and quality, actually almost pretty much the same unless you know the person inside. Most in the market battery are OEM, they arrive here only put label which include famous brand (I think you should know why). Regarding the quality, yes is have been drop tremendously due to raw material increase. All this info are from my sister-in-law which one of the OEM company. Normally I get battery from her many year, so far no problem and last a very long time for my old car 2-4 year. But so far I have not yet test with Peugeot 408 as my battery still under warranty. So i have no reason to go back there to change.
