Over here, it's NOT OK if you DON'T wash your car once a week.... tongue.gif

Joking aside...yeah...you're fine washing once a week, provided that you do it properly. Did somebody tell you there's side effect of doing this?

Easier to apply with the block to use. I think the liquid is not as thick/concentrated compared to IS.

But IS is much glossier....

Do you think I can use the same material to apply IS? The block and the suede MF?

After application, the whole MF harden like a piece of wood.

Wash every week should be fine. Not sure about waxing every week. Recommend to wax only when water doesn't bead anymore. (Afraid that wax without claying first might cause some swirl marks).

I am new on polishing too rclxm9.gif You can either start doing it by hand or by machine (recommend using DA polishing tool instead of rotary polisher first). Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish are good products to work with, IMO.

Common procedure: wash->clay->compound->polish->wax/sealant

You may skip compound step if there are no severe scratches/swirl marks on the car paint.

Question : Waxing without claying first will cause swirl marks?

No la bro, claying is to clean. Waxing is to apply protectant. I don't think it will cause swirl, unless your car after wash is still not clean enough.

This morning saw a cat climb on my car roof than jump on my front hood, sexily walking down.... And it slips, sliding and tumbling down. I was RLOF and WTF.
I wax it last week, I guess it is still very slick. Here is the picture showing the skid mark. It leave some scratch on my car, damn....

Ditch the suede, but can still use the block.

You'd need a glass polish/compound if want to remove rainx altogether. I use soft99 Glass Compound Z.

Clay good in removing embedded grit but sometime you'd also need polish to remove surface stain.

1st, learn proper method, techniques, tools and product for washing. Then start learning about waxing or using sealants. Then get to know about different levels of polishing/compounding and what they do or can achieve.

This is a special edition of CQuartz designed for the colder damper climate, and specially for the UK.

CQ UK is easier to apply, thinner, lasts about a year, can apply in much colder weather

CQ still easy to apply but apply a little thinner than uk, lasts 2 years, a little thicker, not cold tolerant for application

Why you wanna remove rain x as the first place ?

Yes in detailing there is not strict rules you MUST do this and that of course skip polish...mean no correction on your surface if there is swirl....
