If you need to detail the ride, usually you do this
Wash > Clay > Dry > PaintCleaner/Light Polish* either one > Wax or Sealant

If weekly maintenance,
Wash > Dry
or
Wash > Dry > Wax/Sealant
or
Wash > Dry > Wax Booster

Thanks

Hi everyone. May I know where can I get isopropyl alchohol (IPA) over the counter? I went to most of the pharmacies, and they only have alcohol swab.

Interesting demonstration although I do not know how many commercial hype is involves.

g88 Do we have water filter that has ability to do water softening in Malaysia?
Are those less than RM100 water filter like the follow:
user posted image
able to achieve water softening?
This kind of filter easily obtain in normal store or shop and the filter core also very economic. If it can do the job then it is really worth.
*
your picture is a normal water filter lad .. not softener.. if wan softener then use the FRB type but expensive and not suitable for home use (drinking or cooking) biggrin.gif .trust me, I am in industrial steam boiler line biggrin.gif

Trust you then.  notworthy.gif
Then what option I have in Malaysia?

Sometime I see some houses outside got this big tanker thing:

user posted image

These are water softener right? Are this suitable to use?
Roughly how much damage will be on our wallet?
*
The one out side house one is just FRB or SS tank fill with sand and carbon.. mainly to remove chlorine and mud.. if water softener will fill with 100% resin or 70% resin.. further more you need to re-generate with salt to recharge the resin..backwash and most important you need to buy a test kit to check water quality rclxub.gif

Is that means one can just buy the resin (wonder how much it costs) and put it in any long height tank and just simply water flow through the resin will get the process done?

Why the picture you post got a electric supply for the device? Not just flowing water only?

Seem like a very cost demanding device to use on a long run.  shakehead.gif
*
You need to put in a close tank.. water pressure is need to push though about 45 Psi. the picture i post on is
an auto regene aka re-charge resin, back wash and auto run. You also need to buy industrial salt to re-charge resin once the resin charge no more by using test kit. No worth to go though. whistling.gif

I think the reason I care about it now because I suffer from the effect, and the effect is something I can notice it. My shampoo effectiveness reduced, and it happened quite a lot of time recently compare to old time. I don't know why, but this change of water quality definitely dislike it.
If the water softening system is like RM3K and one year change once only, then yah actually I will invest into it. because not only can use for wash car, other home usage also will be benefited. But heck now I know that it needs to be recharged every few days interval and the recharge concentrate salt solution need to buy also, then it becomes too unaffordable for my current financial ability. Even if I won a lottery and can own the machine at the beginning it is still unaffordable in the long run. So got to call off the idea, at least for now.

Another reason is simply for sake of knowledge & curiosity only. Knowing more will not harm mah, right?  tongue.gif
Maybe one day in future got salesman come promote me water softening system and claim something like buy once never need to invest into recharge the resin again, then I know this is a con.

If you mean this one then yes I have. What do you want to know?

user posted image

But, in general, don't like the gun...bought it for RM60 & sold it off soon afterwrds. Uses too much shampoo and put out too little sud/foam.
*
the one i have is grey colour which it come with K2 car kit (0.3L) .. thought of :

step 1 Pressure jet wash (rinse with water)
step 2 Hyper wash with foam gun .. leave it for 5- 10 min .. and let the product do their work with out using mist to buffet it.
step 3 Rinse it with pressure jet with water.
step 4 last use M115 for final clean and buffing biggrin.gif

above is full lenght of cleaning or

hyper wash only or M115 only or combine both as mention above brows.gif

Yeap, i have the grey one. Here were my RM0.02 :
You probably meant D115. Meguiars recommends to use on a dry surface, to prevent further dilution of product, saw it on the Megs forums somewhere.

If you're worried that the car is too dirty, skip the D115 and do a 2 bucket wash? But honestly the D115 can be used on rather dirty cars, just use it wet by spraying more product and use lots of towels.
*
since got karcher foam gun.. thought of hyper-wash it then use M115 as final warp biggrin.gif ... or it could be waste of M115 hmm.gif

this hyper wash dun know got wax look finish a just like M115 or M 156 brows.gif

Should be D115 rinse free express wash and wax, aka equivalent to Ultimate Wash and Wax Anywhere?

And, D156 xpress synthetic spray wax aka equivalent Ultimate Quik Wax?
