How's omnirom?Got any issues?I wanted to try the kitkat ROMs but I faced some issues that bothered me last time...
*
Yeah, new rom (especially ported rom) will have few bugs, i did tried omni 4.4.1 for 3 hours then given up because of the buggy new stock launcher. ATM, i'm using Omni 4.4.2 nightlies as my daily driver and satisfied with it.

Issues? Camera issue but only for certain people (i'm not affected) and opendelta update. You can read the rom discussion in details at xda.

You want stable = stick with stock rom
You want bleeding edge = expect bugs

The camera issue for OmniROM is kinda on and off for me. A couple of folks in G+ Community have been reporting the camera issue. The OP is currently looking into it. biggrin.gif

BTW, OmniROM 4.4.2 nightlies are smoother than butter brows.gif

No worries, at least our n7100 is on their official supported device, i heard omni team quiet selective in approving official device maintainer. My maguro still not in the list, how unfortunate.

Yeap.. maguro still out of the picture for Omni ROM. BTW, do you use any custom kernel together with Omni?

Flashed my N7105 to 4.3 yesterday. So far so good. But where's the move to sd function? Silly me! Found it...

Don't be afraid of sleep deprivation. One day, all of us get to sleep forever.

Too much sleep deprivation will lead to the forever sleep earlier. Not a desirable situation.

Your wakelock must be a result of malicious software (crappy work hours). Hence your battery life will be compromised in the long run. You need to unistall and get better software to solve this wakelock issue. brows.gif brows.gif

Well, like everything else, what alternative apps you need depends on what you have already installed. Everyone's setup is different after all, so it's a question only you can answer.

Maybe it's just a matter of getting another version (new shift placement) or maybe even an upgrade to a "pro" version. Or maybe you even need to replace the app with something else entirely. It's a very subjective thing after all.

But sometimes it helps to freeze your app in TiBu (take a long holiday) so that you can reassess what you want from your app and what you need to do to get there. IMHO, anyway, but I understand it isn't that easy to freeze apps, especially not one you use every day.

Just something to consider if you're THAT worried about battery life, anyway.

Zen... Most people I know call it BS lol.

But it's honest BS, straight from my heart... thumbup.gif

Anyway, I think I have found a way to "mitigate" the loss of G-accounts issue for those still having it (mostly people still on MI6, like me). I find that while flashing the zip on the "loss of account fix" thread helps, the moment Google updates play store it starts happening again.

How to fix? Go to TiBu and search for "play". Than choose "Integrate updates into ROM" from the long click menu (for both play store and play framework), and IMMEDIATELY restart. Ignore any funky errors or FCs that will (undoubtedly) happen when you "intergrate" both apps.

That should fix it, at least until Google updates play store again, in which case you might need to repeat the above. It just makes everything worse that play updates happen so blardy quietly though.
