I'm impressed with phoenix rom, in term of performance and battery usage. Definitely this will be my first choice for TW based rom.

well said, thank you for all clarification. i have no idea where i kept my sandisk 16gb card packaging (almost 1 year already), finger crossed, hopefully nothing happened.

if you're impatient, just flash DN3 or Phoenix rom. It came with the latest samsung official firmware, removed bloatware and additional note 3 functions.

For myself, i'm already with 4.4.2 omnirom.

Yeah, new rom (especially ported rom) will have few bugs, i did tried omni 4.4.1 for 3 hours then given up because of the buggy new stock launcher. ATM, i'm using Omni 4.4.2 nightlies as my daily driver and satisfied with it.

Issues? Camera issue but only for certain people (i'm not affected) and opendelta update. You can read the rom discussion in details at xda.

You want stable = stick with stock rom
You want bleeding edge = expect bugs

No worries, at least our n7100 is on their official supported device, i heard omni team quiet selective in approving official device maintainer. My maguro still not in the list, how unfortunate.

Rebuilding the cache is necessary, you can do it from recovery, pbilz, cwm, twrp.

I'm using latest phoenix rom, my adaway seems to not block any ads. Every time i run adaway it will show adaway disabled, and i have to re-enable it. It will happened everytime i rebooted my phone. Anyone facing the same issues?

Omni and CM and other AOSP variant will not give your better battery life compared to stock. At first glance, you will noticed that using AOSP is blazing fast, and there's a trade off for that.

I noticed the new Facebook for Android app come with its built in video player, last time when clicking on video link (embedded) FB app will prompt for which app to use to load the video. Anyway to restore this functionality?

I'm a big fan of AOSP rom, CM11, Omni, AOSB etc. But I'm giving up with their camera issue and quality. Back to TW now (wanamlite).

Used CM and Omni before, the moment you want to take precious moment picture be ready to:
1. Accept lousy image quality
2. Not able to lock auto focus
3. Worst is "Unable to connect to camera"

They even have an app to restart your camera to overcome issue no 3.

I guessed maybe it's caused by proprietary samsung camera driver or the framework.

Those who want to stick with TW, you may try wanamlite. DN3 is a no for me, phoenix also okay but i disliked it because it's preinstalled with tools that i don't use it

If you're using Note 2 wall charger and stock usb cable, you can get 1800 at max.
