Anyone trying the 4.4 builds? Or are there any? Been busy lately, haven't explored much of anything.

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Nov 30 2013, 01:54 AM) if prefer iphone style simple and direct = MIUI official V5 ( 3.11.22 ) MIUI is based on which android version? 4.3?if prefer note 2 but pack with Note 3 features = DN3 V3.1 rom if prefer tons of tweak + customization = phoenix rom / wanam lite / dr.ketan and etc etc so on,. but if u prefer simple and happy with 4.1.2, = Adndroid revolution rom ( base on 4.1.2 which currently i am using,.. it is the smoothest ever rom,.. even more smooth than MIUI,.. ) .. always back up your previous rom in full backup then always wipe with Android_Revolution_HD_Super_Wipe_Note_2 before you start to flash another rom, confirm nothing will go wrong,.. this is not TW based rom right? So how is the performance on battery life? |

If you want fast and stable 4.3 you can always forgo the N3 features altogether and try Wanam's roms or something else w/o the additional N3 stuff.
4.3 + standard N2 features makes for a speedy, bug free experience, or at least it has been like that for me. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Nov 30 2013, 10:23 AM |

If anyone flashed DN3 V3.1 and think the secondary symbols are fugly (Like me), you can remove it very simple.
Just goto your /system/csc folder, open feature.xml file... under <SIP>, look for <cscfeature_sip_enablesymbolinsecondary> and delete all those entry until </cscfeature_sip_enablesymbolinsecondary> Dont understand why they need the ugly symbols... make the keyboard so fugly and out of allignment. Learning lots of things daily fixing things... LOL Oh, I forgot... REBOOT This post has been edited by andrekua2: Nov 30 2013, 10:38 AM |

Using DN3 v3.1 .. no FC yet. but it doesn't have the 30 battery mod that you can change the battery icon without reboot. Anybody know where to get this for 4.3?

QUOTE(joytest @ Nov 30 2013, 01:40 AM) Personally I prefer the dark keyboard of the Note 2. For my Note 3, I'm also using the same dark keyboard on rooted stock MJ7. I find the white too garish. Yeah v28....can we hit v30 before it fades into oblivion? QUOTE(quithrilius @ Nov 30 2013, 06:32 PM) YES WE SHALL~!!! But seriously though, it really depends on how far the developers want to support the device. My first ever smartphone, the HTC HD2 was running WinMo 6.5 when I bought it over from my cousin. As you can see from my siggie below, it was running JB 4.1.2 at the time of retirement, same level as my Note 2 now ! And here I am patiently waiting for the warranty to expire so that I can go DN3 v3 |

QUOTE(quithrilius @ Nov 30 2013, 06:32 PM) The N2 is not quite a "major" dev device, due to our relatively closed Exynos architecture vs more open architectures like Qualcomm on the S4 Play Edition or the Nexus devices, but it's not really a sinking ship either. The Dev community is still quite active and the device itself still has respectable specs so it's still a great buy, especially at today's prices.Besides, if you want that awesome SPen experience on a phone, there's not much else to choose from anyway right? Finally, we don't get Knox out of the box so that's another plus if you plan to hack your device to death. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Nov 30 2013, 08:54 PM |
