Guys, if you happen to hate the new keyboard and handwriting in DN3 v3.1, feel free to flash N2 keyboard zip from Dasko.

My bad... after trying out Dasko version, I find that it lack Handwriting settings.

So you need to do it manually if you wanted to.

First, goto Application Manager, clear cache and data for Samsung Keyboard and Resources Manager.

Then replace the :-

1. Samsung IME apk in /system/app
2. libloadstyluscore.so in /system/lib
3. libstyluscore.so in /system/vodb/lib

With the one extracted from v3... then you will get setting for Handwriting and gestures. Remember to change permission to RWRR. Reboot.

If you dont need them, then just flash Dasko version.

I think they mod it to dark too for Note2 but the handwriting is so hard to use now. A bit like Windows handwriting.

Try WP8 then...

Personally, after having 2 iPads, 1 iPhone5, Note1&2, 2 Nexus 10, I do feel a bit boring with all. Even go a 808 for camera purpose. Wanna give WP a try. I was hardly impressed back then with Lumia 800 but now maybe can give a shot

I feel like not using Samsung ROM for Note series is a wastage. All those features went down the drain and S Pen become just like any other styluses.

Whats the problem with it? No FC. Just not as fast.

Kitkat nothing to shout. Specialized for low end devices.

If anyone flashed DN3 V3.1 and think the secondary symbols are fugly (Like me), you can remove it very simple.

Just goto your /system/csc folder, open feature.xml file... under <SIP>, look for <cscfeature_sip_enablesymbolinsecondary> and delete all those entry until </cscfeature_sip_enablesymbolinsecondary>

Dont understand why they need the ugly symbols... make the keyboard so fugly and out of allignment.

Learning lots of things daily fixing things... LOL

I used my phone a lot less nowadays? Even in v3, never had any problem except for operator SMS.

I prefer the v3 keyboard more. SMS is fixed. Signature lock is not working though. Some even complain the led bug with menu n back keys that kept lit up. I actually prefer it that way.

Seriously, I really don't recommend last year stuffs when the difference is a mere RM 500. I would not recommend Note3 if you already had Note2. I don't think you would regret going the extra mile.

Wasn't that MI6 (v2) problem? No problem since V3.

One thing I felt weird is how the S Pen keep notifying the pen is detached when you write in certain area of the screen.

Just like first gen Note... Kinda miss extra width.

Really? I'm on the 3.1.1 which some said is even worse.

I'm on 3G all the time. l just installed everything in the Aroma. Wifi is stucked on all the time with doctor's patch.

Trying out Fleksy keyboard now. Actually did signup for the beta testing but dont know how I messed up until dont know where to download the damn thing. Now sent me an email to test official version. Like it somewhat but surely must type proper English.

RM899 + RM60 to extend to 3 years warranty.

They dont have the keyboard just yet, and Im looking for one that came with a touchpad so that I can do some simple autocad on the go.

I think quite fun to use, although sometimes was held back by how MS restrict the access to change some Windows/App setting through the Metro UI. Therefore have to dug deep into the Apps or Control Panel for a quick fix. Its only 720P which makes up 189PPI therefore its not the easiest to get around in Desktop mode, with only capacitive touch.

There are also some weird stuffs like the IE in Metro UI dont support Flash, and you need to use the Desktop mode IE in order for Flash to work. But when you use the desktop mode IE, you lose things like the auto keyboard popup when you tap to type. Have to bring the keyboard up manually. So it was half fun, half annoying really.

Still trying to get used to it, especially haf to hard wire the thought that the Start Menu icons dont really work as Start Menu anymore and to get to the real Start Menu, you have to swipe to the end of Metro UI and press the down icon to see the list of apps installed.

I think someone should launch a 8inch Transformer. Its desireable but Win 8.1 still have a long way to go. Of course, the real attractiveness of this device is how they are making any profit if any, when the OS and Office alone cost almost half of the selling price.

Although advertised as RM1099, heard forumer said you can actually get it for RM999 if you cant get the 899 offer. I didnt asked caused I was dead set on 899 or nothing.

Like last time when rooting 2nd wave of Android device in the form of HTC Desire and Legend. Make the gold key. Then copy to external memory. Then run the batch files to flash CWM. Think back feel bloody idiotic.
