QUOTE(kira_88 @ Nov 30 2013, 01:36 AM) My bad... after trying out Dasko version, I find that it lack Handwriting settings. So you need to do it manually if you wanted to. First, goto Application Manager, clear cache and data for Samsung Keyboard and Resources Manager. Then replace the :- 1. Samsung IME apk in /system/app 2. libloadstyluscore.so in /system/lib 3. libstyluscore.so in /system/vodb/lib With the one extracted from v3... then you will get setting for Handwriting and gestures. Remember to change permission to RWRR. Reboot. If you dont need them, then just flash Dasko version. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Nov 30 2013, 01:40 AM) Personally I prefer the dark keyboard of the Note 2. I think they mod it to dark too for Note2 but the handwriting is so hard to use now. A bit like Windows handwriting. For my Note 3, I'm also using the same dark keyboard on rooted stock MJ7. I find the white too garish. Yeah v28....can we hit v30 before it fades into oblivion? QUOTE(joytest @ Nov 30 2013, 01:45 AM) Dunno if I want to get a Note 4......catchup fatigue....but of course if budget permits Try WP8 then...Nothing is new.....somebody please surprise me...... Personally, after having 2 iPads, 1 iPhone5, Note1&2, 2 Nexus 10, I do feel a bit boring with all. Even go a 808 for camera purpose. Wanna give WP a try. I was hardly impressed back then with Lumia 800 but now maybe can give a shot |

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Nov 30 2013, 01:54 AM) if prefer iphone style simple and direct = MIUI official V5 ( 3.11.22 ) I feel like not using Samsung ROM for Note series is a wastage. All those features went down the drain and S Pen become just like any other styluses.if prefer note 2 but pack with Note 3 features = DN3 V3.1 rom if prefer tons of tweak + customization = phoenix rom / wanam lite / dr.ketan and etc etc so on,. but if u prefer simple and happy with 4.1.2, = Adndroid revolution rom ( base on 4.1.2 which currently i am using,.. it is the smoothest ever rom,.. even more smooth than MIUI,.. ) .. |

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Nov 30 2013, 01:58 AM) that;s how i feel sometimes, but those base on 4.3 , basically most rom is eitther lag here and buggy there,.. nothing is complete stable, rock solid like previous 4.1.2,.. Whats the problem with it? No FC. Just not as fast.i would throw all note 3 features in my note if the current rom is as 70% stable as 4.1.2,.. |

If anyone flashed DN3 V3.1 and think the secondary symbols are fugly (Like me), you can remove it very simple.
Just goto your /system/csc folder, open feature.xml file... under <SIP>, look for <cscfeature_sip_enablesymbolinsecondary> and delete all those entry until </cscfeature_sip_enablesymbolinsecondary> Dont understand why they need the ugly symbols... make the keyboard so fugly and out of allignment. Learning lots of things daily fixing things... LOL Oh, I forgot... REBOOT This post has been edited by andrekua2: Nov 30 2013, 10:38 AM |

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Nov 30 2013, 05:41 PM) I used my phone a lot less nowadays? Even in v3, never had any problem except for operator SMS.I prefer the v3 keyboard more. SMS is fixed. Signature lock is not working though. Some even complain the led bug with menu n back keys that kept lit up. I actually prefer it that way. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Dec 3 2013, 09:16 AM) Happy camper with DN3 3.1.1. They made the Air Command popup immediate after the S pen is withdrawn. Everything thing else is working fine too, using the MJ9 modem. It's off by default, isn't it?One thing I felt weird is how the S Pen keep notifying the pen is detached when you write in certain area of the screen. |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Dec 6 2013, 09:39 PM) I got my trusty Razer Orochi, but nothing beats those tiny cheapo touchpad included BT "keyboards" (the ones with the mushy rubber buttons) for controlling a HTPC - they're so damn handy. Tested the Rapoo. I really wonder how long do you need to get used to it.A shame they're selling those at at the same price as my Rapoo at All-It. I know for sure the "touchpad keyboards" are like worth only half of that really, being all cheapo plastic. Maybe I should buy one from Brando later to control my HTPC (aka my overworked lappy). If you came across decent bluetooth keyboard with touchpad, let me know too. Interested to get one for my Acer W4. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Dec 7 2013, 02:16 PM) RM899 + RM60 to extend to 3 years warranty. They dont have the keyboard just yet, and Im looking for one that came with a touchpad so that I can do some simple autocad on the go. I think quite fun to use, although sometimes was held back by how MS restrict the access to change some Windows/App setting through the Metro UI. Therefore have to dug deep into the Apps or Control Panel for a quick fix. Its only 720P which makes up 189PPI therefore its not the easiest to get around in Desktop mode, with only capacitive touch. There are also some weird stuffs like the IE in Metro UI dont support Flash, and you need to use the Desktop mode IE in order for Flash to work. But when you use the desktop mode IE, you lose things like the auto keyboard popup when you tap to type. Have to bring the keyboard up manually. So it was half fun, half annoying really. Still trying to get used to it, especially haf to hard wire the thought that the Start Menu icons dont really work as Start Menu anymore and to get to the real Start Menu, you have to swipe to the end of Metro UI and press the down icon to see the list of apps installed. I think someone should launch a 8inch Transformer. Its desireable but Win 8.1 still have a long way to go. Of course, the real attractiveness of this device is how they are making any profit if any, when the OS and Office alone cost almost half of the selling price.
