Eh not quite cheap leh RM999. But the condition is perfect from the photos, I didn't see any Chrome part peel off or dent from any angle so I suppose it is good.

RM999 not cheap. Still got warranty? If not, then overpriced.

If you dont need the S Pen, there is absolutely no reason to buy Note2. You can get quite a lot of good phone if you wait for right opportunity. Every now and then you would see people selling Z Ultra for 1.1K or slightly more. That is a Snapdragon 800 SoC in there. You dont even need custom firmware with these to feel the smoothness of the extra processing power.

Samsung is going downhill from here on. Competition has finally caught up due to Qualcomm. Yes, previously, I would recommend Samsung without a doubt because they give the best hardware your money can buy but now, their SoC is next to dead and the only thing that stands out is their S Pen (or even AMOLED screen).

Flash Custom Rom through Recovery. Not the official Rom downloaded from Kies/sammobile.

BL can flash from recovery ka? Even some modder at XDA said better not; flash BL via ODIN/Heimdall oni...I not sure about MobileODIN though

The previous question is how to stay on old bootloader. I suggest flash custom rom through recovery ..I didn't mention flashing bootloader at all.

Sensible....and ZU is a good device for content consumption. Might consider between that and Huawei Mediapad X1 when the time comes.

Actually I choose back Samsung is because it is more convenient for modding. Before that I was thinking about Note 3 Neo but realise there were not much active developer for this phone so I go for Note 2 instead. Because my budget won't allow me go for Note 3.

Aiya, I just casual root user, if can play GTA San Andreas smoothly is already very good for me already. I won't play too grapgic intensive games one. And Note 2 got 3K mAH battery, I suppose it will be good.

The standby time after 4.4.2 update is absolutely amazing, unlike 4.3 which drops 3-5%+ over night.

Guys, just wondering can we update to the latest kitkat 4.4.2 for our SME Note 2 ady?

Plan to do so for my wife Note 2, since she isn't good with gadgets...

What is the major difference from this KK 4.4.2 compare to JB? I couldn't recall the version of OS for my wife Note 2, only thing I can confirm is she never update the OS ever since she got the unit since last year...

Would be appreciated if someone here ady updated to KK and would be kind enough to provide some feedbacks on it...

Btw, any idea where can I find the changelog for this 4.4.2?

Million thanks in advanced...

Using DN3.2.1 now. loving it especially the extra function from Note 3. The camera has so much settings to play with thumbup.gif

should migrate earlier. and the battery life is better than previous rom for me.
waiting DN3 v5 to be stable b4 migrate.

Just saw on Soyacincau that Samsung is offering 1240 unit Note3 Neo for just RM850. Now this is more worth.

Its 3G only like Xiaomi Mi3.

I think Samsung is responding to Xiaomi threat.

After updating to 4.4.2 firmware, I think can safely say it does reduce power consumption somewhat. I have never gotten 4hours with stock firmware, but today I managed 4 hours SOT with updated firmware.
