hi. my phone always having the problem to connect mobile data. any idea how to fix it? I have to reboot it everytime in order to connect mobile data. pkease help. thanks

It's generated by the system for gallery thumbnails. I delete it every now and then.

Problem is, the camera roll is dependant on gallery, and hence that thumbnail file IINM. So you probably have to replace Sammy Camera as well to get rid of it completely.

With QuickPic and Camera FV-5 (or something) it's definitely possible to replace the stock cam though, but IMHO Sammy Cam is actually a bit better when it comes to speed and shutter lag so YMMV. Also, there is no telling what would happen to TW once you freeze (or remove) the stock gallery and Sammy Cam - it might just be FC party time if you do.

I wonder if this problem is TW specific and if AOSP doesn't have it. I've heard HTC phones get the same problem too though so I doubt this is the case.

I just realised something. Those of you who have issues with unstable mobile data connection (data freezes requiring flight mode or mobile data toggling to fix) - do you have FastDormancy enabled?

Unfortunately, you need to have root to check and do anything about it in the first place, but yeah, it seems to have helped with my problems here where I am. No more dual screen in simple mode and my Note 2 felt like downgraded, solution would be read up "rooting guide" and root it like you and master/ guru/ sifu here.

also, unlike previous version, after updated, type single letter like "C" in phone book can only gets me to name started with "C" but no mandarin name that started "C" in han yu ping ying.

Today I got the same problem. Last week my memory card cannot be read, still haven't change it and today
my phone suddenly reboot and stuck at "Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100" start up screen. I already tried Recovery Mode but it showed

E:failed to mount /data (No such file or directory)

Also tried tried wipe data/factory reset

But it showed

Anyone already solved the problem? Bought my Note 2 from Celcom with their data plan. Already more than 1 year now.

No choice. Have to use back old phone till get new phone. But at least the phone still working after 3 years...not like this Samsung one  .

i still keep my Nokia n8 and 808.

MJ5 Bootloader if you using the kitkat 4.4.2 ROM  You cannot charge the phone while the phone is turn off.  If your battery out of juice,  you need a external battery charger. 

With the new bootloader you can charge your battery while the phone turn off.

By "automatically on", do you mean it boot up your phone?

I read most of N2 user in XDA having this problem with MJ5 (boot up the phone when charge it or didnt do anything).  You still can't charge while then phone in off mode with 4.4.2 kitkat.

I Just notice mine is still using MF2 bootloader (I thought I flashed MJ5 long ago when installing Dr. Ketan ROM).
Mine didn't do anything when I plug in the charger while in off mode.

I'm now using DN3 4 RC2 ROM (4.4.2 KitKat) S5 1.4 mod + PurePerformances™X Golden Edition.

hi.,....  im using N7102, currently running on 4.3.

im having a few problem.. 

but my utmost consent is regarding my outlook setup.

i cant complete my Outlook setup. i'd already tried it on another phone, I9100, same process are done and it worked fine within  few minutes.

i notice there are missing option on my N7102 compared to others (stock ROM N7100, I9100 etc)

How to stay on old bootloader?

Zzz. ND3 ROM giving me a lot of problems now. Video Player force close and Ti Backup not working, unable to backup. Maybe it's caused by dirty flash. Reflashing fresh DN3 ROM again. If the problem still persist, then sorry la, I am back to stock ROM.
