i want to ask lightroom masters here, how can i get this dreamy vintage/ effect from lightroom?
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

You can start by downloading presets for Lightroom icon_rolleyes.gif
There are a lot of presets available for free download in the web, and many are vintage hehe~
After you have downloaded, apply the preset onto your photo, and adjust from there icon_rolleyes.gif

for me, lightroom is easy to use but it uses a lot of RAM and PC resources

try photoshop, i find it less resource hogging so maybe can perform better for your case, but i'm bad with photoshop sad.gif

Hi folks!
I think I want to try wedding photoshoot next year. Currently I only have 35mm and 10-24 (for landscape, lol!), planning to get Yongnuo flash gun next. Is there any other equipments needed that I should be aware of? For Yongnuo flash, what particular model is good for a new flash user like me? My budget is below RM350.
Guys, icon_question.gif

Or do you guys all have 1st party flash? sweat.gif

@Pro: Thanks for the link. Found it useful. biggrin.gif

Welcome. Glad it helped. laugh.gif

As for the flash, i'll go for 565EX because it has ttl but it's above ur budget. 560 fits ur budget but its fully manual... tongue.gif

just read finish ur story.
sorry about that. but what happen to ur tammy after that?

in the past my tammy 70-300 also has this same issue. photo taken in some condition it will become under exposure. In same setting in camera, taken few shot at same location, same position and just different click. A different exposure image will appear. it happen most in the matrix mode n less in spot mode. At the end, i send it back to for warranty and it come back without issue anymore.

moral of story is for tammy, it is better to stick to local set although it slightly expensive...
*
After that event, as you have discovered, matrix metering shows the fault the most, so I used center average from then onwards, other than that I'm pretty happy with my copy until I sold it recently. icon_rolleyes.gif

Regarding the dust in my D3200 viewfinder, i made a huge mistake by dismantle the focusing screen and super imposed screen. I'm not sure about other models design, but D3200 design is separated focusing screen and super imposed screen (with focus grid).

The dust is inside the inner side of super imposed screen, which is the side facing prism. I wipe with micro fiber cloth and now the screen is full with many fine scratch. The focusing screen too. The expensive lesson for me. cry.gif

Anyway, anyone here know how much for these 2 parts? I know the focusing screen is around 100+, just dun know how much for the super imposed screen.

Should just leave the dust alone or get Nikon SC to clean since under warranty.

Anyway, I believe the fine scratches will not affect your final pics. Perhaps 0.01% off. I'm basing the fact that you should not see the scratches on your pics or viewfinder just like you cannot see your fingerprints on your lens.

Just fix everything back on the camera and have a go. Check at all AF points under bright daylight are working and spot on accurate and view the test pics at 100% on PC monitor.

If you're fussy, send it to Nikon and have them access it and quote you replacement parts if required. I believe your wedding is very close? Turn around for Nikon service can be quite long. Expect about a month or so. The other thing is worry if they see you dismantled the camera body, they will void warranty and future claims.

Good luck.

Man, you sure is brave to fiddle your new camera. I'm afraid to dismantle anything in my DLSR. ohmy.gif
About the micro fibre cloth, did you use the small blue micro fibre cloth that you get with the camera? I personally avoid that particular kind for any usage on glasses. Like jchue73 suggest, take it to Nikon Centre, they will fix it and replace the parts with new ones.

Sorry to hear this, good luck, hope you get it fixed soon. nod.gif

Thanks bro, my wedding over already, and this happened before my wedding day, no effect on output quality.

Just that i dun know those glasses are so fragile, else i would wait after i bought the blower on next day.

Anyway, i think the warranty will be void once i send the camera back to shop that i bought, am i right?

i nearly did the same thing, luckily decided not to take the risk at the end. those dusts are super annoying since they are deep inside the viewfinder, not just on the mirror alone. I used the cloth to wipe the reflex mirror last time, end up leaving some smudge on it sweat.gif when i send my camera for lens cleaning few days ago, the camera shop told me not worth removing the dusts since it will require a lot of work including dismantling the whole viewfinder part and would costs rm200-300.

Yes, bro, as bold part, super annoying, 2 fiber dusts stick inside the super imposed screen and just on top of the 2 focus points, everytime focus sure will see it. I can wait for next day to buy the blower, but due to my own decision, i dismantle myself and wipe using the micro fiber cloth that come with the camera. I'm too naive to expect those cloth provided should be scratch proof and dustless compare to normal fiber cloth. sad.gif That was last Friday night, 2 days before my wedding.

Yesterday night i just did a final clean up using contact lens cleanser and flush with filtered water, after that blow off the water using rocket blower without wiping. But is too late, i use my handphone camera flash as the light source, direct to the reflex mirror and i observe at the viewfinder, alot of fine scratch in vertical and horizontal direction. Although not really obvious after i put back the lens, but it become an 'imperfection' inside my heart, although it won't affect the photo quality, but i still feel it will. sad.gif

No pain no gain. sad.gif

moral of the story, don't simply touch camera inner parts, they are so damn complicated and fragile.

i did a mistake too last time by using so called cleaning fluid for camera (it didn't write for what part) on my sensor, end up leaving a little smudgy spot on it. luckily canon SC didn't ask anything about it and clean it free for me. (the old days when sensor cleaning is free cry.gif )
