It is a subsidiary of ASDA and believe it or not, I got my self 2 shirts + 2 tie + 1 jacket + 2 slacks for 40GBP = RM280 and the quality is very good as well, just that it's not branded stuff, that's all This post has been edited by Geminist: Aug 14 2006, 03:54 PM |

If following current scenario I will get it over there, coz I can't imagine checking in my laptop. Sure hancur berkecai when get there. Whatever extra expenses incurred when buying over there, should be worth it to cover the potential damage. However, I got mine a month ago oredi, so now pening la |

Yeap that's true also, however, I remember you can get your baggage insured at the airport? I used to wrap my stuff (ext hdd) in bubble wrap and put it in between clothes before checking in my baggage. However, I got mine a month ago oredi, so now pening la I'm not really sure about the insurance so you might have to check it. Sorry |

The price is slightly higher but not by few 100s. And yes, you'll get the latest model in UK. Furthermore, there's student package offered by Apple whereby you'll get a iPod free if you purchased a Macbook. As for console products (PSP, XBOX etc), I guess they are about the same price. Is just that you have to get original games. In UK, people tend to play console games compare to that of computer games. They are pretty fanatic about it. |

Get your lappies over there, better support and coverage.
No pirated console games. Very expensive for us to get the original ones. |

Just read this on bbc.co.uk SOunds good!!
Precautionary measure Long-term changes to airport security checks outlined by Transport Secretary Douglas Alexander include the following: # Passengers can choose what to take on to a plane, but any form of liquid, fluid, lotion or gel will be banned. Electronic devices, such as laptops, will be permitted but will be thoroughly screened. # A medium-sized item of hand luggage will be permitted. This bag will be around half the size of luggage previously admitted. # Searches of passengers and their clothing will be conducted more frequently and are to be carried out by hand or using body scanners. |

But seems to not have outlets in Central London. I'll be staying around UCL area. The nearest is at Clapham Junction 7.6km away!!! I noticed from your earlier profile you're from Baker Street, London, so where do you go for the nearest George store? |

It was just a joke about the baker street since I used to study at Bradford, so I take the train to go down to Leeds. Though I'll be moving to Surrey Quays in the coming days as I'll be starting my work there. But seems to not have outlets in Central London. I'll be staying around UCL area. About the George, I think 7.6km is still pretty acceptable though you can try other outlets like Primark for some cheap stuff. But after buying from George, I would stick to this shop more often than Primark now. Also if you intend to get some cheap stuff like kitchen ware or duvet set, you can drop by at IKEA for a visit since sometimes, they have some cheap stuff and also, the hot dogs taste nice (for 75p) |

I'm not sure about the card, but you can definitely get the NUS card, you get pretty much some discount at most of the stores like burger king, pizza hut and topman.

ISIC. Get it as soon as possible. You'll save a big sum when it comes to air tickets. Basically, travel fares.
As for the suit, you can make it here or BUY it there. |
