I've been using Windows 8.1 but I reckon it's not recommended yet.

except for small issues with secureboot (which can be resolved easily by adjusting bios settings), there is no apparent issue. i mean, for r4.

QUOTE(moc @ Dec 2 2013, 08:24 PM) if i want to upgrade to ssd on my m17x r4, so the exisitng 32gd ssd still needed? if you wanna run the OS on ssd, it's best to have ahci mode enabled for sata operation. the change will break the caching (raid mode). you still can use it as separate ssd. if yes so i have 2 fast drive? how to upgrade a new ssd at the same time i want maintain the hybrid drive(32ssd caching+1tb hdd) to maintain that, don't change anything. just put in the ssd and it should run also but not sure if it's running optimally. QUOTE(duabijitelur @ Dec 2 2013, 10:45 PM) normally i check the driver first also.http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms854226.aspx |

Wow, you guys are very advanced.I'm still clinging on to my Windows 7 UE as long as I can.
Also, if I considered a change of GPU to nvidia?Would anything else need to be changed? I'm currently using the 7970m. This post has been edited by refnulf: Dec 9 2013, 09:36 AM |
