Yeah, actually I was wondering whether u have a better price for 120Hz 3D panel + IR emitter + specs as well? I contacted Dell about this and the price is quite unexpected. Dunno how good of a price u can give?

I think it depends on availability of the configurations of your laptop. Its better to ask the person you deal with.

Asked the call center = 2 weeks
Asked the retailer = 2-4 weeks

did you ask at lyp? normally retailers with ready stocks (if you need stock configs only), you can do cod on the same day.

yes it is true. you need to use the chat system. tips to negotiate :

1. start with nice greetings to the representative.
2. start with a nice compliment about the product and the company.
3. say you are interested with the product that you wanted to purchase.
3. act dumb to ask for the RSP of every models.
4. act dumb to ask for recommendations of every models.
5. this is it, time to straight forward to the price you desired. (my e.g : okay, sir/miss *ABC*, i made up my mind and im interested with model *DEF* and im willing to purchase it at RM*XYZ*.) you can also say that you are a student and doesnt have money that much, this is what i can afford.
6. increase your desired price tag if the representative rejects.
7. if success, remember to thank the representative (best with compliments).

Attitude during the conversation :

1. Important - NO CAPS LOCK.
2. Be friendly as much as possible even if you are in a bad mood. REMEMBER, representatives are humans also.

What to do if the representative doesnt want to negotiate with you :

- Change representative (the chat system is random so you might get different representatives with every single click).

face to face is more worse. i went to Dell's store at LYP and none of them are willing to negotiate with me other than resellers.

About the price nego, normally how much different with the RRP that possible to get? for example, let say the best price of RM8,199 specs...

normally if more than RM3000, a maximum of 10% discount is allowed but you can try to get the price you desired.

Mmmm... 10% is not bad... Maybe can ask for 12-13%

By the way, is it the best time to buy it now? Or better wait for new model since its already 2014... Must be so many upgrade to be launched soon...

currently we are in the early of 2014, i think its possible to wait, as Broadwell architecture will be announced soon.

EDIT : best time to chase latest products is around mid of the year.
